His storytelling and emphasis on the people of Northern Ireland was the perfect way to understand years of conflict. He also was incredibly balanced in the information presented, sharing all perspectives and conveying a feeling of hope. I would highly recommend Chris, this tour, and DC tours in general!

We went on the History of Terrror Walking Tour with Chris as our guide. His knowledge was indepth and gave us a very clear and vivid understanding of Belfast's troubled history. His explanations were easy to follow and his interaction with the group was excellent, bringing in some humour where appropriate. Also we walked through many places which we may never have found on our own so thanks Chris for assisting us in seeing the many facets of Belfast.

Our guide, Steve, for the walking tour, A History of Terror, delivered as promised: a balanced and impartial history of the "troubles" but he gave so much more. He provided a coherent and complete history of the conflict and brought it alive with dramatic accounts of events as we visited the nearby sites where events took place.

After the tour, we took a city bus to the location of the "Peace Walls" and the various murals and memorials. Walking the several blocks of the area was a valuable addition to the tour.

Highly recommend the tour and our guide!

I would 100% recommend the Best Of Belfast walking tour; Chris was an amazing guide - very knowledgeable, funny and friendly. The tour includes a wide range of history, including the troubles and the Titanic. Nice touch to have a loo and drink stop halfway through; also great to use the electronic headsets so nothing is missed. A great way to get to know this beautiful city!

Steve our excellent guide and sometime “Lollipop Man”, took us on an honest, informative and often mind blowing walk around Belfast and explained the history of The Troubles right back to centuries ago, when Ireland came under the control of England.
The tour is. 2.5 hours but whipped by.

Suitable for all, but probably best for 15+

Fantastic tour! Our guide James was knowledgeable, entertaining, impartial, and obviously holds his home city very close to his heart - his optimism, energy, and love of Belfast is truly contagious! If you're visiting Belfast book this tour - and book it towards the start of your visit as you'll get plenty of recommendations!

If you want a tour of Belfast that is completely neutral and packed full of history and information, then look no further. We went on the History of terror tour with our guide Mylie, was is unbelievable and so knowledgeable. She was very approachable and easy going and made the tour so enjoyable. She started off by setting the scene and giving us a brief history about the island on Ireland and how Northern Ireland came into being before we then started the tour. As we went along Miley would regularly stop at relevant points and explain the history behind why we had stopped there. Her description and story telling of each event was so detailed and had you hanging on every word. The 2 1/2 hour tour was over in a flash, which is such a shame as I could have listened to her story telling for so much longer. I only took a couple of pics, as I was so engrossed in what I was listening to. I cannot recommend this tour enough

Don't hesitate to book the History of Terror Walking Tour with DC Tours ! You will learn soooooo much about Belfast's history and the Troubles. It's a must if you're visiting Belfast. Our tour guide, Jim, was the absolute best ! He's full of knowledge and we absolutely loved our tour with him !
