When you order a BBQ and ASDA sends chaos instead

Honestly, I'm not sure if I've been ordering groceries or starring in a prank show.

I planned two Friday BBQs in a row. ASDA said, “Sure, let us absolutely ruin that for you.”

Week 1:
Ordered: Ice creams, wings, charcoal, blue cheese.
Received: Bargain-bin lollies that taste like regret, a mystery cheese that may or may not be legally edible, and instead of charcoal — an actual BBQ grill. Like… just the grill. No fuel. No explanation. Are we meant to rub the burgers together until fire happens?

Bonus round: the Coke hissed like a snake when I picked it up. It was flatter than my enthusiasm by the end of the night.

Week 2:
Thought, "Let’s try again. Smaller shop, can't go wrong."
ASDA said, “Hold my houmous.”
This time, they just didn’t show up. Nothing. No call, no knock, not even a lonely melting ice cube left at the door. App said “delivered” — my front step said otherwise.

Apparently Jonathan, the regular delivery manager, was on holiday. I hope he’s somewhere warm with proper lollies and working charcoal, because the rest of us are suffering.

My teens now think “BBQ night” is code for disappointment and soggy oven chips. We may never recover.

ASDA, I love a plot twist — but I ordered groceries, not emotional damage. Please sort it out.

Click and collect is an absolute joke, The lockers never worked, then it went to the phone call system, they never answered now you check in with a QR code that also doesn't work.

Why offer this service if no one in the store is competent to deliver it. Clearly the people using it have a need for a certain time slot and don't have the time to be sitting idle in their car.

Bought wine which should have had a discount of 25%, discount was not taken off at till. I didn't realise until I returned home. I have tried to call Asda Ballyclare from 4.30 yesterday and am unable to get anyone to answer the phone.

Who reprogrammed the tills so now you can't draw cash at the self checkouts?
As a disabled customer to be able to get cash while paying for shopping was great. Now have to go outside to machines, difficult with limited mobility, face the weather elements, and not safe using machines outside. Come on Asda think of your customers. Programmer have no empathy with customers needs or just brain dead?

Poor range of goods. Ans seems to also be ‘out of stock’. Lidl and Tesco are much better!

Shelves always empty, I used to love this asda but now even though we only live around the corner we go elsewhere. Even your essentials like bread & milk are rarely stocked, short dates on food, offers never in stock. Only go now when we have to

This store has gone downhill badly. Empty shelves, very messy shelves, hardly any staff on tills. I’m sorry about whoever manages this store needs to up their game and if it’s a problem higher it needs sorted. I wish Tesco or M&S came to the town to give much needed competition to make them shake themselves. Every time I go in all you hear are people complaining about the state of it and lack of products. I don’t know if there’s a problem with not enough staff to pack items out or they aren’t doing what they should be. Could do with having night packers so store is fully stocked and ready to go upon opening and then there’s not as much needed to replenish during the day. Please, please bring this store back up to what it should be.
