Visit to Chester House today to take a boat trip along the Nene. Clarke, the skipper, was friendly and knowledgeable about the river, gave a brief safety introduction and then onto the boat, Dancing Queen. It's not a long trip, around 45 minutes, upto to the Wellingborough Lower Lock and Weir and back. Keep an eye out along the banks for local wildlife and views of the river that you wont see from a car. Lunch was the usual high standard from Chester House. Well worth a visit!!

A beautiful visit to Chester House lunch and a lovely trip on the river boat with Clark. Stunning views to the wier Wellingborough. Amazing day all round and so much interest thank you

Nice venue. Cafe not cheap. Lots of children screaming in the cafe made us leave sooner. Next time we will visit in term time!

I just liked. My visit during the Kids Summer Festival was with great pleasure. At the café/restaurant the service/food/drinks was very good.

Really nice place. Staff always had a smile and a cheerful 'hi'
Quite a bit to do, so I was told, the museum being well worth a visit.
I say told because we were there for my sons wedding, so were fairly busy.
Kudos to Matthew and his team, despite a couple of challenges in the day, they all did an amazing job.
The wedding room looked stunning.
Only one thought ... they could really do with air con, we had 100 guests and it did get a little warm during the ceremony.
Overall though .....
Lovely venue, friendly staff, brilliant day

Found off of the A45.
Access is off of the east bound carriageway only.
Turn into the turning slightly beforehand which looks like an industrial estate.
Then take your first right to the carpark.
The straight road down to the estate is the exit only.
It's free to enter.
Free to park.
There's a museum, flower shop, several places to eat too, plus a bar.
A small dog shop.
Currently there are lambs to view.
There are workshop sheds for crafts aimed at children..
You can park and walk across the fields behind too.
Toilets available.
A nice place to visit, very family oriented and gets very busy with families at the weekends.

There is supposed to be a farm shop opening too. Currently not there as I write this.

Lovely area
Nice scenery and walks
Very informative museum and lots of eating and drinking facilities
Went at spring lambing season , were able to see lambs and feed them.
Lots of seating areas and good clean toilet facilities.
Nice afternoon out.
Highly recommended by me.!

Managed to get last minute tickets to take my son to watch the euros final here, lovely set up with the big screen, multiple bars and food kiosks, it was a great atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming, thanks.
