I put the date just in case anyone wanted to know
Basically today around 23:30 the lady driving the bus stopped in Parnwell just to talk to someone about getting her nails done and had a 10 minute conversation.
Like are you driving the bus or doing your nails.
I don’t want to be waiting around to get home just because someone takes time out of her working hours to have a chit chat about nails seriously 😤

Horrible service. Bus 5 dogsthorpe-Yaxley- dogsthorpe in the mornings always more of half time late. I didn't understand why people's need paid moneys for the late bus. And bus tickets increase up foe more lates.

I encountered issues with this bus service Wednesday, June 4th, 2024. I was waiting at the Hodgson Avenue Bus Stop near Somerville at approximately 17:35. The monitor indicated that the Orton bus was expected at 18:03. A Werrington bus arrived at 18:06, but that wasn't the bus I needed, and the driver mentioned he was 25 minutes behind schedule.

Additionally, an Not-in-service bus passed by at approximately 18:17 without stopping. The Orton bus finally arrived around 18:25, with the driver stating he was 14 minutes late. During the journey, another bus overtook the one I was on and moved ahead.

The drivers laughed because they were late but passengers get told they have to catch the bus on time because buses don't wait.

The main issues are that the monitors at the bus stops seems inaccurate, and the timetables doesn't align with the actual arrival times.

Not very reliable and most of the time the busses are dirty, I've had many times where the bus had left 5-10 minutes early and I've had to wait another hour or get a taxi. The busses often don't turn up at all. If you need to get somewhere using these services I would suggest getting the bus before the one you need to be on time as you never know. The driver are quite often rude and don't have great customer service skills but some drivers are actually alright and are nice to you.

The Yaxley route is always late, just had wait nearly 45mins again!!! All other routes around peterborough are fine but Yaxley is a joke!! Put more buses on that route

Today a very pleasant journey in both lines, number 1 from Milfield to town and then number 5 to Yaxley. On time almost but I'm not complaining at all. Thank you gor today 👍

This idiotic driver said i couldnt get in the bus because he didnt have change. I paid 5£ for my £1.40 ticket and he said he didnt have change so i have to get off. That makes zero sense its not my problem if you domt have change. Absolutely disgusting

Stagecoach provides a vital service, connecting communities across Peterborough and the surrounding areas. When the service is running as it should, it offers a convenient and relatively affordable way to travel. The recent fare caps have been a welcome improvement, making bus travel more accessible for many.
The potential for the service is great, and when the buses are on time, and the app is working correctly, it can be a very useful tool. There are many drivers who are very friendly and helpful.
However, Iike many bus services, stagecoach sometimes struggles with consistency. Punctuality can be an issue, and the app, while intended to be helpful, doesn't always provide reliable real-time information, improvements in these areas would significantly enhance the overall passenger experience.
In summary, Stagecoach plays an important role in local transportation. When reliable, it's a valuable asset. Continued efforts to improve punctuality and app accuracy would make it an even better service.
