Disappointing Customer Service Experience from a Long-Time Taxi Customer

Lovely drivers, incompetent administration. Prebooked airport drop off and pick-up both ways, baby seat was forgotten the first time. Second time I made a point of emailing to confirm we had an 18 month old who needs a proper baby seat. They assured we’d get it. They send a booster seat. What’s the point in booking ahead to save stress and ensure the safety of your family when actually this company does neither?

Similar to other reviews, my experience of this company is that the drivers are great but the management is not. I recently booked an airport transfer and my driver hadn't arrived, so I called after about 10 minutes. Immediately I was told by the guy on the phone that the driver had burst a tyre on the way and would be there once it was changed. He apparently didn't need to take a few seconds to call the driver, or check his system - he just had this information off the top of his head. I found this a bit strange, and when I hung up, I heard a car go past so I went outside just to double check. It turned out to be my driver - he had got a little lost in the dark and driven past my house. When I asked about the tyre, he looked baffled and said he didn't know what the guy I spoke to was talking about, confirming my suspicion that this dude had told me a barefaced lie just to get rid of me. I was so unimpressed - I can completely understand delays and issues, but this level of dishonesty and disrespect was enough to make me never want to use these guys again. It's a shame, as I have used them before and it's been OK and the drivers are nice, but this experience has left a really bad impression.

I have used this company taxis for over 3 years time, but they let me down twice.
The most recent one was a very impolite driver who even did not know where to pick me up from Luton Airport when all the taxis ze fully aware what has been happening in Luton airport. He caused me to walk even further in Luton airport when I was not feeling very well and as
a result I am so sick now that I will lose a very crucial event for my business. Driver did not w an apologise me and kept talking in a car afterwards and was causing even more stress for me I think Rainbow cars should hire only drivers who know the basics of customer service and are after a compulsory training in this subject. Unfortunately,
It was the last time I used Rainbow cars taxi.

Be careful of the hidden charges within their card payment system. Quoted £17 for my trip +25p for a card transaction. Went to approve in my banking app and they requesting £20.65! They secretly tried to charge me almost £4 for a card transaction. You try and shop local and this is what you get. Won't use again.

Prompt service, delivered by a female driver who waitedly patiently for 3 of the passengers. Her driving was a little too brisk for some, but I just thought it was too brisk for her transit minivan lol. She did fine by my reckoning, not reckless or dangerous, just didn't hang about, unlike her passengers lol. There was a brief moment where she had to mount the kerb to allow an oncoming to squeeze by on a narrow estate road, but I'd have done the same so.... Good prompt service clean cab reasonable price nuff said? 😉👍🏼👍🏼

Don’t trust them. If I leave the airport late, they charge me extra. If they come late, it’s normal. I had to wait for their driver for more than 1 hour yesterday. The owner of the company tried to find silly lies rather than apologising. It wasn’t the first time but it was the last time.
