I owe a huge thanks to Brett, Alex and the team at Hemel Marina for all their help in finding me my first boat. As a novice it is great to know I have a marina I can trust. They were genuine, non-judgemental and gave very sound advice, going above and beyond to support me even months after the sale. The steel work I have had done has been second to none and when I had some engine trouble more recently, they went out of their way to help. The engineer was kind and took the time to explain the problem to me, as well as fixing it straight away! I highly recommend this marina and wouldn’t buy a Dutch barge anywhere else.

great experience, boat blacked in dry dock this week, yard didn’t mind me getting my own survey done whilst it was in and they even complete a steerer tube repair while she was in the dry dock given only a couple of days notice. Really good value, took good care of the boat and even had the cheapest diesel around for miles to fill her up before we went on our way…Can’t praise them enough…proper yard!

We arrived at hemel marina looking for our first barge and the service, support and advice we received was amazing. Alex was a great help to us throughout our whole buying experience, he was gentle and experienced. The team went beyond and above to make sure out barge was 100% before we sailed her away. They took on everything that came back from our survey and just cracked on and did the work for us. We feel like we made friends for life with this marina and would recommend them to anyone looking for their first, second or third boat!!! A great bunch of guys and we felt like they just wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to get started on our boat journey.

Alex found the perfect narrow boat for us!! We had our narrowboat blackened here in the dry dock. very very accommodating great staff and always helpful, most of all a great job …….. purchased new solar panels also fantastic diesel & gas prices . Can highly recommend Brett @ Hemel marina 👍🏻

The best place to make blacking for sure, I did end of March and I'm very happy, reasonably prices, and the staff is really nice.
