A really fun and well organised walking club, ran by Julia. With lots of different types of walks available, during varied days and times of the week, which can suit everyone's needs. It's a great chance to get out to meet lots of new people and see some really nice places, whilst getting some good exercise at the same time. I highly recommend anyone joining Adventure Geek. Julia makes you feel very welcome and at home from the start.

With just 3 months left of this year it was time for a break, reflect and prepare for the last big push of 2024.

Biggest thank you and shout out to our very own Adventure company in Northamptonshire - THE ADVENTURE GEEK. This was my second Camino trip organised by the amazing @JuliaDoherty of The Adventure Geek.

Twice as long as the first now I knew I could self-navigate and carry my kit! That said, the experience was even better than my first. Julia’s easy to follow plan and suggested points of interest were amazing.
The weather was naturally beyond the control of anyone but wow those sunrises were off the scale awesome. The day of walking whilst Hurricane Kirk did his best to stop me was character building, but I did it.
The people I met along the way were amazing, so many great stories and so much good in a world where sometimes it's hard to see it all of the time.

Time to really take a pause and work out what’s important to me and what I need and don't need in my life.
Some may say you do not need to walk 200 miles on your own to do this, but we all have our own way of pausing and re-evaluating - what’s your!?

I completed the West Highland Way earlier this year with Julia from the Adventure Geek Walking Club. It was a fabulous experience and I would highly recommend going with Julia on any of her long distance walks. West Highland Way is stunning and with a great guide and a super friendly group to walk with we had a marvellous time.

Very friendly walking club, with lots of different types of walks to suit everyone. It's great to chat to lots of interesting people each time you go. Julia also organises longer walks around the UK and sometimes further afield.

Walking the west highland way, was something I never really thought I would ever really do, walk that far (100 miles) really!!! With Julia and the rest of the group I had all the support, encouragement and guidance I needed.I made it all that way (without any blisters) It’s not an easy walk but it’s definitely worth while, the views are fantastic. The trip was well organised the accommodation was from fab hotels to hostels I was amazed at the facilities available to hikers along the route. The experience was incredible and the feeling when you reached the end is great, with a thought of what’s next ?

Wonderful West Highland Way trip July 2021 with Julia leading the AG WHWayers! Superb leader, great info about the route and technical elements, safety ensures with regular check in points for all. Excellent pre trip briefing. In fact the attention to detail at all points is 2nd to none! I cannot fault Julia and can only thank her for organising this excellent experience.

I completed the Hadrian's Wall Challenge with Julia and a group of walkers from Willen Hospice last week. What a fantastic adventure! The walk was well organised, fun and social. Highly recommend joining the Adventure Geek if you want to meet new people, get fit and spend time outdoors.

Whilst I was training for Hadrian's Wall, I downloaded one of the self-guided walks in Northamptonshire. It was fantastic to be out in the countryside and the pictures included in the instructions really help you find your way. Will definitely be downloading another route in the future.
