Really nice lady working on the Monday morning I went in - very chatty & helpful. One of best places to get petrol in Orkney for prices and can pay via nfc mobile pay which is important as so many places were cash only or needed to put card in machine!

Desperate for a left luggage facility, we discovered Ticketyboo offer this service. Very pleasant and felt a safe and reliable place to leave our bags (although a little pricey)

You know how, normally when you're travelling, every simple little thing takes extra time and stress and there's an extra charge for everything you could conceive of? I'm very relieved to be able to truthfully say that none of that applies to my experience with this little company. It definitely wasn't the most expensive of the car hires I looked at, but it was easily the least complicated, and Mr Ticketyboo even met me from the airport and took me to the car. And back again for my return flight. The car was clean, no issues, and the return-in-with-a-full-tank request is easy when the firm also runs a fuel station. I felt really well looked after, everyone was really friendly and not just looking to upsell me. No song and dance, just really really good service.

Heather the receptionist at the petrol station was such a helpful and kind gem. She helped us get situated (some great large maps of Orkney available at the desk for purchase) and was knowledgeable. Would recommend getting your petrol here 🙂 thanks Heather!

Petrol station forecourt level with NO diesel spills around the pumps, plus has E5 if your bike is older and doesn't like E10.

22/8/22 A huge thank you for getting me back to the cruise ship.

I was on the Ambassador cruise ship and had got the courtesy bendy bus into Kirkwall, just before 5pm. Unaware that the service finished at 6pm

I had seen the Tickeyboo petrol station on my way into Kirkwall and when I returned to the pick up point, just after 6pm, it was like a ghost town. My phone had died and many shops were closed, as well as the information centre. I made my way to Tickeyboo, to enquire about local taxi companies. I checked and the ship was still there, and he phoned one company but they wouldn't be available for 30 mins, he then phoned Orkney Cabs who came within minutes.

Because my phone had died and due to the panic that followed I forgot the name of the helpful, male employee. Thank you so much for helping me and enabling me to get back to the ship. It didn't sail until 8pm, but the buses end at 6pm. So this may happen more often with other passengers.

Used a couple of times when I was in the area. 24 hour opening and pay at the pump is very convenient.
