I have an elderly relative in Stirling who is getting on in years and was in dire need of some in-home assistance. We had tried to get social services support several times for her but she was particularly stubborn about accepting help, and was rather specific about how she wanted to be helped, which often ran at odds with how social care were able to help her.

A friend recommended Bright Care to me after they had helped her look after her mother, and I while I was skeptical that we may end up going down the same route again, I was willing to give them a try, especially after the high praise my friend gave them.

Turns out there was a reason for that high praise. To start with, the on-boarding process takes into account the individual, her personality, and what carers they have on staff that may be a good match. Natalie was lovely and visited my aunt in-person to have a chat with her, and work out a care plan that suited her, as well as identified what are the common things she had problems with.

From then on the service has been nothing but stellar, with my aunt warming up to the carers and them helping her out both personally and with little tasks around the house, trips to the doctors or even just sitting and having a chat with her.

When my aunt had a serious medical issue, Bright Care were professional throughout, they contacted the relevant emergency services, then called me to let me know what was happening, and then continued to visit my aunt in the hospital to check up on her, while providing updates via the Care app that they use. This has given me peace of mind on my aunts status while in hospital when I have been unable to go up and check on her myself.

In addition to this, when I reached out to them for additional post-hospital visit support for my aunt, they were quickly able to draw up a plan to help her out, with a further plan to review it in a few weeks once my aunt had settled back at home to make sure they could continue to meet her needs.

All in all Bright Care and their staff have been fantastic, and I would recommend them to anyone else without hesitation.

Brightcare were tasked with caring for my dad who was diagnosed with dementia and over an eighteen month period they were so kind, caring and compassionate with him and his ever evolving care needs were always met without question. They brought out a side of him that we as family rarely saw, laughing and joking with the carers and never complaining about his worsening condition. The helpful advice given by the team was always appreciated as their expertise in dementia care was invaluable. Even when my dad was admitted to hospital the carers were more than happy to continue visiting him to keep him company and boost his morale and this was very much appreciated. We can't thank them enough for their continued support even after my dad sadly passed. I am so glad that we got in touch with Brightcare when we did, they made a huge difference to my dads quality of life and we will be forever grateful to the whole team.

The team at Bright care Stirling are helpful, they respond quickly and liaises well between us as a family and care team. My aunt gets 4 hours over the week with the same person which is great! They have built a strong relationship.

Caroline is assigned to me for caring duties and she is very professional and easy to discuss things with.
