Charlie's Stable is a perfect cottage for a couple, exceptionally well equipped, in a lovely location. Very good communication from Rose before arrival and a very welcome hospitality tray. Reeth is a charming village with very good pubs and coffee shops, also an addictive ice-cream parlour. We did some lovely walks from the cottage, and the private garden by a stream was good to relax in on return - very comfortable garden furniture and a very much needed parasol as the weather was glorious. Highly recommended.

Wonderful holiday cottages, we rented Greystones and Burton cottages for a family break. Both cottages were well equipped with everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. They had a lovely enclosed garden at the back and front, ideal for our dog and they were both a sun trap.
The cottages are in an ideal location, very peaceful next to the river but within a short distance to the village, where you will find a couple of lovely friendly pubs and cafes.
You can also access some lovely walks with beautiful views without using your car.
Thank you Rose, we will be back next year, if not before 😆

We stayed in May 2025 as a family group of 6 adults and 2 dogs in our cottage plus 4 family members next door. Communication was excellent from Rose & David, and the cottage was everything advertised and more. The garden is a suntrap and has sun most of the day until sunset. The cottage is beautifully decorated to a very high standard throughout including everything you need in the kitchen. The location is superb, quiet and secluded but just a 2 minute walk up into the lovely village, and so many accessible walk choices, we would need a fortnight at least to fully explore. We highly recommend these holiday cottages and will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful mini-break, Sue, Stu and family x

Well, what a find. We’ve just come back from staying in Charlie’s Stable for the week and what a wonderful week we’ve had. The cottage was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh as soon as we opened the door. There’s a fully equipped kitchen if you choose to cook for yourselves but a couple of pubs in Reeth should you choose to eat out. There is complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits but remember to bring some milk. It’s a super comfy (large) bed with a view onto the fields. We were lucky to see the sheep with their lambs. There are lots of walks from the door so we didn’t use the car all week. We were also able to enjoy a coffee in the allocated garden which was lovely. Thank you Rose and David, you’ve created a really lovely place for us to enjoy.

Excellent location alongside a little stream. Very quiet. Nice to have a semi-private patio area for chilling. Fab views and yet just 5 mins walk to the centre of the village with a choice of pubs, bakeries and shops.
Very good communication before and during our stay.
Nice décor and v well equipped kitchen (pots, pans, starter pack and not just 4 items of everything which is not uncommon in some 4 person holiday lets). Beds comfortable, super shower and - an essential when walking/ cycling - a bath!
Amazingly easy to use TV remote (yes - just one of them) and broadband reliable and more than adequate for streaming!
Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at Burton House. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a cosy home-from-home—only with better views, more sheep and comfier beds. The location is spot-on: just a short stroll into the village for a freshly baked loaf, slice of cake or a pint, but also right on the doorstep of some stunning fell and riverside walks if you're feeling more adventurous.

The cottage itself is brilliantly equipped with everything you could need (and probably a few things you didn’t know you needed until you found them). Super comfy, warm, and full of character—it made coming back after a day's exploring an absolute treat.

Both the two-legged and four-legged members of the family had a fantastic time. The humans loved the peace and walks, and our dog was in absolute heaven with all the smells and space to roam.

Already planning a return visit!

This house was perfect for our group of Four adults. The house is warm, well-equipped and well-located. We did not use the garden as we went in January but it is enclosed with a good view. We walked every day from the door. There are some delightful walks from the house. In the village there is a general store and a superb bakery. The house is a short walk to two pubs. The cafe at the dales bike centre is excellent. We hope to book again.

Just returned from another visit to Charlies Stable.
As expected spotless throughout and comfortable. Rose and David have got things right offering 5 star accomodation in a peaceful location tucked away a 5 minute walk from the village center. Ideal for walks from the door on the flat by the river or as difficult as you want. We never used the car as we know the area well from many visits to the Dales. So we walked each day with a return stop at The Buck in the village for excellent food and a pint.... or 2 !.
This is a ideal place for us with a dog and just to chill out and we can't wait to return.
