Visited here twice during our stay on Orkney. First time was just for a cake and coffee stop and we were so impressed we booked for lunch later in the week. Having had a G&T with lunch, Jane also came away with a bottle of their gin. Both visits were excellent in every respect. Highly recommended.

You follow the opening hours listed on the website, driving there from Kirkwall on the last day before your departure. And what happens? Before you're even allowed to enter the shop, you're simply told that it's closed due to an "event." You should come back later. I'm telling you, if someone doesn't want my money, I won't force it on them. Please post that on your website soon. I didn't waste my time either.With that in mind, cheers with gin from another distillery.

Super nice family business led by owner, Stuart who moved to Orkney to start this distillery with his wife, Adelle. Very high quality gin, vodka and coffee liqueur products made right on site -- they even seal with wax! Several package size options to sip on your trip or fit in your luggage. Expanding with new innovative products including barrel aged whiskies. Not to be missed on your Orkney trip -- definitely recommended and if you see Stuart or Adele, say 'hi!" And please buy their products in your Scottish or UK package store -- it's great stuff!

Came across Deerness Distillery while visiting Orkney and have been getting their products off and on ever since.
For this year I purchased some gift items and a special edition bottle of gin for Christmas.
Delivery was swift and secure with everything arriving intact.
The Orchadian Moon Marshmallows are full of flavour and generous - If you have never tried Orchadian Moon Coffee Liqueur then you have missed one of the most amazing coffee drinks ever. The marshmallows are amazing too and great for sharing.
The Limited Edition 2023 Gin - we purchased bottle 32 of 200 - well this is a subtly flavoured gin with tones of lemon, lime and tarragon but an unmistakable juniper element simply lets it remain a Gin - BUT a very special gin. We are really happy with our purchases and of course at the next opportunity or visit to Orkney we will be buying more.
Keep up the amazing excellent work Stuart and Adelle - we really appreciate it and love the fact it gets the far North of Scotland on the map.

Great little find - we saw the gin on the ferry and came to visit. Worth the drive as the shop is absolutely delightful with loads of local crafts in addition to the gin. We got a little taste and it was so lovely we got two bottles! The distillery is only a year old so everything is new. A must stop on Orkney!

Tasting the vodka and both gins is a must! Amazing taste, each different from the other! The owner gives excellent advices which tonic water is the best for his gins and vodka! The Distillery is worth being visited and it's little shop anyway.

Beautiful building, absolutely lovely staff, food was delicious, gift shop gorgeous, fabulous big windows looking out & into the distillery. Would go again.
