The very best decision I made for an excursion was to book this incredible experience on the Trike Tours of Orkney! John met us at the port where we geared up for our adventurous journey through one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. We were so lucky to have booked beforehand as cruise passengers were crowding and admiring this unique transport! John made sure we were safe and comfy and we were off. He has a wealth of knowledge and we were taken to areas we would have never seen on a regular tour. The countryside was beautiful and there is nothing like the wind blowing in your hair and a picturesque scenery to wake you up in the best way possible. The history we learned combined with the exceptional locations we visited and John’s friendliness and driving skills made this a memory we will never forget. My husband and I agree that it is the best and most unique tour we have had this far!

Organised a suprise trip for my son's 11th birthday. John was great he took Josh and the wife for an hour's run (lasted about 1.5 hour's) with a stop at the ice cream parlour. Both loved it. He is a great guide and it was at a very reasonable price.

Obviously the Trike is the star but so is the service John our guide gave on our Neolithic sites trip on the Orkneys. His knowledge of the islands history is excellent, giving us in-depth info at the sites. All care was given to make sure we were safe and comfortable on his Trike, especially as the weather was mixed.

Amazing experience. The trike was our wedding car! John arrived early and had decorated the trike in ribbons. He made sure we were warm and kitted out, even wiping the seat when the rain came, bless. He gave us a little tour through ear pieces in the helmet, as we were travelling along. It wasnt bumpy or uncomfortable. An amazing experience and you couldnt ask for a nicer person.

Enjoyed a fab tour while in port on a cruise last week. Really fun & unique mode of transport, learnt lots of the history of the island, then did a distillery tour in the afternoon. The Bluetooth headsets were a great way of communicating, even when travelling at speed! Well worth the money and definitely the highlight of our cruise ports!
