I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had at the Avis rental locations in Kirkwall. I had made a reservation for a car rental with Avis for a short trip during our cruise visit to Kirkwall. I had a confirmation number and was looking forward to a smooth rental process. However, my experience was far from satisfactory.

Upon arrival at the Avis rental location, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled because the location also rented out vehicles from other companies like Europe Car. I found this to be extremely confusing and frustrating, as I had received no prior notification of this situation. It felt like a blatant disregard for customers' plans and inconvenience.

I attempted to speak with the managers at both the city location and the airport location, hoping to find a resolution or an explanation for the situation. Unfortunately, my interactions with both managers were far from productive. They exhibited an unacceptable level of professionalism and customer service. They seemed indifferent to my frustration and offered no meaningful assistance. This left me feeling not only frustrated with the situation but also with the service I received from Avis.

As a loyal customer who has previously had positive experiences with Avis, this recent encounter has left me deeply disappointed. The lack of transparency about the rental policies involving other companies and the dismissive attitude of the managers have tarnished my perception of Avis as a reliable car rental service.

This location (which includes Europcar and Avis) did not notify us back after declining our car rental reservation. We did not realize we would not have a car, and now have to try to find another car rental just days before departing for our trip. The person I spoke to was polite, so I won't go as low as 1 star, but this experience has really complicated our attempts to visit the Orkney Isles.

This is not AVIS. This is a small provincial company without customer service. We booked a car for the week. It turns out our reservation is not. Although from AVIS was confirmation. They spoil the reputation of such a good company. Rather, deprive them of their brand and do not even think about booking with this company. 0 stars for such a customer service.

Ein sehr kurzer Weg vom Hafen zur Mietstation. Wir hatten einen Fiesta im Voraus bestellt und die Übergabe und Rückgabe waren absolut problemlos. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit, wir hatten einen Rollstuhl dabei. Jederzeit wieder!

Perfekt! Der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich hat alles super gemacht. Auch bei der Rückgabe war alles korrekt, wir haben direkt vor der Tür getankt, alles waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. AVIS in Kirkwall können wir sehr empfehlen.
