Our sea kayak & hill climb day + gorge walking experience with Andy was the highlight of our trip! Early on in the season but Andy was willing and happy to take us out. Calm, friendly and knowledgeable, he is the perfect leader on these fantastic trips. Great value for money and a must book for your trip to Arran 🙂

If you're thinking of kayaking with Otter's Tail whilst you're on Arran, stop thinking and just do it! It was absolutely the highlight of our trip and I can't overstate what an amazing time we had. Andy was so genuinely friendly and his local knowledge was exceptional. We had no problems as beginners because Andy took the time to explain everything. We kayaked over to Holy Isle, stopped for a quick snack and a leg stretch, and then kayaked back via a known seal hangout. A few popped up out of the water right next to our kayaks to greet us, and it was honestly breathtaking. Our only regret is that we didn't book to kayak for longer, so we will definitely be back. Thank you, Otter's Tail!

Elli was really lovely - thanks for a fab morning. I was really impressed with the way she taught us everything we needed to know and kitted us all out smoothly. We paddled along the coast where it was calmer to get the hang of it then started across the bay. The wind got up strongly so we didn’t reach the island before turning back but it was huge fun and we all had a great time. Highly recommend!

Andy and his team took us out kayaking at the weekend, I had never done solo kayaking before, so I was a tad apprehensive. Andy was just the best, he was encouraging and made me feel safe as well as prepared - giving me all the kit and help I needed to have a good time. I totally enjoyed the hours we spent together on the water and chatting on the beach while we all had lunch. Andy is FULL of knowledge! I could not recommend Otter's Trail more. What a fun morning we had. Thank you!

Had an amazing day kayaking from Lamlash to Holy Island with Andy at Otters Tail. Absolutely lovely bloke and, despite us being total beginners, took the time to explain everything. Never felt rushed or pressured to go quicker or know more. Just the right balance of time in the kayak and time on the island - we have a fabulous walk around and Andy showed us all the best sandwich spots. Our group was lovely and there was some great chat. All very chilled and an amazing day all round. Would definitely recommend Otters Tail and will be back for more next time we’re in Arran

I had a lovely time with Andy as the guide. Although I have limited kayaking experience, I was able to keep up no problem, and I was impressed with the distance we were able to cover on our tour. Andy brought out some unique kayak paddles for us to try, and it was fun to see the differences between each of them. All needed equipment was provided, although I would suggest brining your own wet shoes/sandals if possible. The scenery was beautiful, and we saw some massive star fish on the sea floor. Thanks for the great time, Andy!

I had an absolutely amazing experience Kayaking into Dawn with Andy. We had seals popping up and being near the kayaks. We kayaked over to Holy Island and stopped for a cuppa. I felt really chuffed (as a first time kayaker) to have made it there and back and was absolutely buzzing.
Unfortunately it was drizzling so I didn't see dawn but I still wanted to go. I would absolutely recommend going kayaking!!! It's so peaceful and gorgeous to be so close to all the wildlife.

Had two great trips with Andy. A dawn kayak (early start - we met at 4am) where we saw the sunrise and loads of dolphins. Then, a few days later a morning trip across to Holy Isle. Both were wonderful. Thanks for the hiking tips also Andy.
