An amazing cafe on the station platform. Quite busy in a cosy way. Beautiful interior, very atmospheric, especially when it was going dark outside, lots of fairy lights inside. Food excellent, full English first rate, potato and chorizo hash also excellent. Staff friendly and helpful, quick service too. Liked it so much we went back later for coffee and cake. Cakes also excellent with a good choice too.

Love here! Super friendly staff and tasty meals in a fantastic setting. I watched a movie before we went there so it was even more special! Loved every bit of it and would love to come back! My parents were very impressed with decor and kids were super excited to see the moving toy train!

We came here because the place we planned to visit was closed. I had a brie, bacon and cranberry sandwich, it was delicious. I've never seen brief encounter so it didn't mean much to me, but I'm told the station is the star of the film!
The drinks were served in the heaviest handle glasses I've ever used, definitely viking proof.
Give it a go, you'll like it.

We wanted to see the station and thought we'd have a cup of tea/coffee with cake. The young lady serving was very pleasant but rushed off of her feet. Tables had lots of crockery on them and when we found a clean one we went to sit down but were informed it had just been reserved. I had rhubarb and custard cake and my husband had lemon cake with tea and a latte. Big difference in the size of the cakes so I shared mine.
Lovely little cafe with some nice touches re 'brief encounter'. Food looked good coming out of the kitchen.

What a lovely find!! The staff and food were brilliant,
They did a Vegan !! Breakfast and Vegetarian and not some half plate of nonsense it was a full English suitable for everyone and cooked to profecton! The hash browns were very tasty, probably the best I've had so far, and the coffee was delicious. A vanilla latte that was a dream to drink. Our son had there kinder buoeno milkshake with scrambled egg beans on toast, and the egg was actually cooked, not a snotty mess !! With the veggie meal they had no beacon and we didn't even need to ask they just offered an alternative easy as pie and there veggie sausages were really tasty they were seasoned very well and when down a treat, the menu had plenty to choose from. And it had a lovely atmosphere. If we ever return to Carnforth, this is the place you will find us

Looked for cafe that had gluten free options and we were not disappointed. The range/choice was very good with its own separate menu. Lovely atmosphere and we didn’t even know the historical significance, was a real treat. All food GF and main menu were excellent

Visited today for breakfast as recommended by my son.
The food and the service was excellent.
Beautiful cooked breakfast.
But most of all !!! The best decaff flat white made to perfection. Puts all the big name coffee shops to shame.
Thank you to the amazing, welcoming staff that served us.
Absolute treat.😀

An amazing place to go for a coffee with friends or a meal with the family. Dog friendly. It has the real atmosphere of an old fashioned station cafe. The staff are always friendly and the food, especially the cakes are yummy.
