A must to do course and very informative if you are ever to be in charge of a vessel on water. Two days, both theory and practical. A lot of common sense, and need to know rules on water. John is a patient instructor and will help you learn with ease. Very enjoyable and proud owner of an RYA L2 and ICC license now. Recommended.

An excellent tour with the highly knowledgeable and professional driver/guide, Kevin. Well worth the ticket price. We saw where ships were built in the past (my family history) and are being built now, as well as how the city and river are changing. An added bonus is that Kevin knows when to not create wash and drives safely, unlike other cowboys.

Did my PB2 course with them over a weekend, well paced structure with a good mix of theory and practical boat handling. The instructor managed to challenge all participant no matter their previous experience and skill levels whilst maintaining a good teaching pace meaning all content was covered in plenty of time. Fantastic central location also!

I attended Glasgow City Boats VHF radio course, with John as the trainer. John is excellent! He brings the learning to life with real examples and stories from his extensive experience of being at sea. I finished the day feeling much more confident in how to use the radio so that I can stay safe and help others if needed. I will be booking again with Glasgow City Boats for my next course.

I attended the Sea Survival course with John instructing. His course was well paced, interesting and informative. His real life stories made it all the more interesting. In the afternoon the practical pool session was well prepared and a reality check for all about what to do in the event of abandon, how to get on a life raft, as well as learning how to check and handle equipment. The venue was great too as there was a café, also free tea and coffee and biscuits in the classroom. Being near the centre of Glasgow meant that it was easy to get to by public transport and we were taken to the pool. There was parking there too. I'd highly recommend the course with Glasgow City Boats. Thanks.
