Not sure what it is about the two places in Edinburgh, but there is absolutely no concern for anyones time. The service has always been extremely slow in there, usually only one person to help despite 2/3 staff at counter - i appreciated they probably deal with different things but then you guys need a better system when you have 5 people waiting to served. Zero urgency to help people waiting from your staff

The storefront I am most willing to spend three-figure sums at each year (for my Ridacard).
The Arbiters of Travel are lovely people, and the Café has nice items and prices and lovelier-still staff.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Manuele, who works at Travelhub in Shandwick. On the day of my graduation, I lost my wallet and felt completely hopeless, especially being an international student with no one to turn to. I walked into Travelhub, and Manuele welcomed me with warmth and kindness, instantly putting me at ease.

He not only comforted me in my distress but also provided clear guidance and practical advice on how to resolve the situation. His positive attitude and compassionate nature were a huge source of relief during a difficult moment. To top it all off, he went above and beyond by helping me with a travel card, truly demonstrating the depth of his generosity.

Manuele is an exceptional person, and I believe his kindness, people skills, and empathy are setting a wonderful example for his team and the Edinburgh community. I’ve never met anyone quite like him, and I am incredibly grateful for his support.

These rooms are designed with today's modern technology in mind. You can download an app which allows you to control the heating and the lighting - it worked very well for me during my stay. If an App isn't your thing - then there are repeater buttons by the side of the power sockets at the bed headboard. Although there isn't a wardrobe there is space to hang your clothes, and some shelves both in the room and also under the bed for other items to be stored. Wifi was free and fast - a must for all travellers today. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked a treat. That's about it for the rooms though. These aren't designed as rooms with all the added extra's like fridges, ironing boards etc... this is simple stripped back rooms, but unlike other "stripped" back hotel chains these rooms carry quality and premium feel throughout.

Breakfast is served down in the coffee shop bar area at the front of the hotel. Simple choices to be made between fresh fruit, yoghurts, berries, simple bacon/sausage rolls. Much in line with the rest of the hotel. It's not fancy - but everything that is there is great quality and sensibly priced. Breakfast for £5 - you can't complain about.

Today I had ask for tea and food but the guy said short of staff so just had tea then 2 minutes later he severed an other person and they ordered food and they got it why not just me but lot off other people to complained this is not good service so we ask the girl who gave tea and she did not know why, the manager needs to address these issues the guy was very rude with the people and the place was not very busy

This place is a wee gem. MUCH better than their larger, soulless, expensive coffee counterparts across the road. Always friendly service, decent portions, non-pretentious and reasonable £ - right in the centre of Edinburgh. Plus the wifi works!
