No regrets. We would do it again and plan to do so in the future. Uncover Scotland Tours made everything easy including jumping on a video call to help explain our options. Coming from the states, we wanted to ensure we were dealing with a proper business, and yes, it is. Our tour guide Alex made the trip the adventure we hoped. Super knowledgeable, friendly and caring, Alex made everyone feel included. As we started our drive north, he listened, learned our backgrounds and added a few bonus stops based on our interests. This guy knows his stuff, he really made our time adventurous and lasting. I could not recommend this company enough to make your visit to Scotland seamless, comfortable and well worth the expense. My wife and I took this excellent 1 Day tour from Edinburgh to Glencoe and back in mid March. The weather was cool, some clouds here and there, but the history and the beauty of the scenery made up for any lack of sunshine. Alex, our tour guide, was the perfect driver and guide for the day. From the moment he smoothly moved us out into Edinburgh’s morning traffic to the drop off at the end of the day at our agreed hotel - he provided us history, stories and personal experiences that made the tour special. The history was interesting, the view as we climbed up into the Highlands was simply breathtaking. The photo opportunities were many and Alex made sure we stopped at the best points along the way, tying each photo into the story of the people, the land and how the two came together to make Scotland the country it is today. From Highland Coos, across the otherworldly landscape of Rannoch Moor, a stop to see the deer at the Kingshouse and a brief side quest to Hagrid’s House the day quickly swept by and we were soon at the Glencoe Visitor Center. There we stood beside a lone turf and creel house, looked down the valley of the long lost MacDonald’s and wondered that such a terrible fate could befall those who lived in such beauty. On our way back we made a side tour to the Falls of Dochart and were captivated by the falls and the otherworldly entrance, which stand in ruins, to the Clan MacNab Burial Grounds. From the falls, Alex made sure we arrived at the Kelpies just as the sun slipped through the clouds and illuminated their silvery hides with a soft yellow light. There’s no photo that can beat standing there beneath the giant Kelpies as the last rays of day slip into evening. Perfect ending to a perfect day. Thanks Alex!

Our family booked a 4 day tour with Uncover Scotland this past May. Our tour guide was Donnie, and he provided the very best of tours for us! We booked the Scotrail Diesel Train because the Jacobite train was unavailable for us. Everyone talks about how the train gives you majestic views, but honestly our tour with Donnie gave us better views and a much more magical experience! We felt very safe and relaxed with our tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and told us about Scotland as we toured and was so patient with us. Our family had such an amazing time! Communication with the owner as we customized our tour was seamless. Accommodations made for us were cozy and really enjoyable! We would definitely book again with Uncover Scotland Tours! The tour was absolutely amazing and our guide Alex was the best guide we could imagine. He showed us many unique and also hidden places and shared stories and myths of the country and its history with us.

We embarked on a 1 day full-out tour with Alex as our guide. It was wonderful to see his smiling face waiting in the lobby. He knew our names and was equally as excited as us to get to the highlands.

Alex chatted, shared knowledge and laughed along with us. The van was beautiful (heated seats!). We travelled and got to see so many breath taking magical spots (Glencoe, Hamish the cow, numerous lochs, battle grounds, ruins etc).

Jordan the owner was prompt with responding and answered all questions big and small. You can tell the care and thought that has been put into this company.

If you’re someone who wants a personalized, private and memorable tour then this is for you. Embrace the Scottish weather, the rain and clouds just add to the magic and drama. If you’re on the fence, this is not a gentle nudge, it’s a push. Book it - you will not regret it.

We took the 2 day Isle of skye private tour, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Outside of the places included in the tour Jordan was very knowledgeable and was able to take us to locations where we could spot wildlife like mountain cows and Scottish deer. Our stay was comfortable and we appreciated the recommendations for local food and places to hangout at during our downtime. Having spent long hours on the road, the drive to and fro was very comfortable. Would recommend them for an enjoyable trip around Scotland.
