Really a lovely trip, we saw porpoises, seals, and a variety of sea birds. The crew was charismatic and had a lot of knowledge on local history and lore. Dress warmer than you would think! Bring a hat and have a good time.

An outstanding boat trip! The crew was exceptionally friendly, and the guide demonstrated impressive knowledge of the area, sharing insights not only about the wildlife but also captivating stories of local folklore. During the trip, we spotted harbor seals, harbor porpoises, a magnificent white-tailed sea eagle, and even witnessed northern gannets diving a truly spectacular sight. Overall, it was an excellent experience and definitely worth the cost.

Would recommend! Great tour of the islands surrounding Oban, particularly fantastic experience with Ewan (our guide) who offered some fabulous chat about the surrounding wildlife, his experiences transitioning from Inverness to Oban, and general convo. The sea was very choppy at some points, so expect to get a little wet if you’re sitting outside. The views were beautiful, Ewan did a great job calling the wildlife and explaining surrounding landmarks. There’s even a bathroom on board, which is handy!

Unfortunately, although we pre-booked our tickets, since we were toward the back of the line for boarding there were no seats outside for us. Ewan kindly let us stand on the upper deck which we didn’t mind since we’re fairly able bodied and comfortable on the water. But we would have appreciated being able to sit since the indoor shelter area didn’t really offer views outside (although there were windows, it was pretty impossible to see out of) and the trip was 2 hours. So wear sturdy shoes (we did, luckily!) in case you need to stand, and try to arrive earlier than you think to join the line!

Great tour well recommended. Early on in season wasn’t expecting to see much wildlife but we did see a few seals. Friendly crew. Best experience of our holiday!

Dog Friendly boat cruise of Lock Leven. Loved the Amazing views. Oban sea tours boarding starts you at a natural harbour next to the Marina car park. The vessel has a top and lower deck with a shelter inside. You have options of or outside on the deck. They cruise by the islands around the town. It is known as ‘Gateway to the Isles’ cruising the locks with numerous views of the castles and islands on the West Coast.

There is a beautiful scenery from the boat and historical landmarks to see. Throughout the tour, we had well informed guides who provided commentary about the local wildlife, history of the area, castles and other landmarks.

We enjoyed our day cruise very much.

This was an amazing boat trip. Russ was so knowledgeable and made it very interesting. There was nothing he didn’t know about the history of the area. We did have fantastic weather and saw lots porpoise and seals and Ali stopped the boat several times so we could get a good look. Would thoroughly recommend. The scenery was just beautiful.

We enjoyed a fantastic 2hr boat trip with Oban Sea Tours. The boat was spotless and with a great roof viewing area. The route goes out to Mull, past lots of beautiful coastline and lots of historical interest too. The crew were brilliant: super friendly and steeped in knowledge of local wildlife and history. The views towards Ben Nevis and Fort William are stunning! Don’t miss them!

Absolutely fantastic. The team were amazing, super friendly and very knowledgeable. We went on a glorious day and saw for miles, was lovely hearing some of the history of the place. The kids got to 'drive' the boat which they loved and saw lots of seals which was the icing on the cake. Cannot recommend this tour enough
