We highly recommend BOB tours!

We spent an amazing day out with Mark on the Yorkshire Dales National Park tour. We loved being in a smaller group, and unlike those big bus tours, we were able to understand perfectly everything Mark said through his microphone.

The tour guides at this small company build the tours around key stops with added elements based on their own experience and knowledge of the area. This meant that our guide was able to rearrange stops according to the weather that day and add in a few stops based on what he learned about the interests of our particular group.

Aside from the incredible beauty of the area, we also enjoyed learning from Mark’s deep well of knowledge to improve our understanding of the history, culture and economy of the area.

Our one regret was that we didn’t think to have cash on hand to tip our tour guide. Tips are not expected but if you take one of these tours you will see how hard the guides work and appreciate the thoughtful personal touches they bring to your experience. We think you will want to thank your guide with a tip!

I took the Dale National Park day tour. Guide/bus driver was wonderful! Gorgeous scenery and interesting stops too. Tasting all of the Wensleydale cheeses was an unexpected delight. When I come back to York, I wouldn't hesitate to take another one of their tours.

I went on Yorkshire Dales national park full day tour from York.BOBH. My tour guide and driver was Mark, a friendly guy who took the time to get to know us all and where we came from. He told us lots of interesting facts and was very knowledgeable as to any questions we asked.
We went to Pateley Bridge, Linton Falls, Hawes, Askrigg, Kettlewell and Bolton Castle where we saw wild boars being fed. We also stopped at a scenic spot high up and at Seamer lake view point.
Very enjoyable day out, recommend strongly

A wonderful day touring the Yorkshire Dales made all the better with Mark as our guide/driver. He was fantastic and brought the Dales to life with his knowledge of this special place. Taking this tour was undoubtedly the highlight of our 4 day break in York from Edinburgh. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting York. We were exceptionally lucky in that the sun shone all day showing the amazing scenery at it's best.

Had two fabulous Yorkshire Dales/Herriot and North York Moors Day Tous with tour guide Mark. He was so personable and knowledgeable, started the tour with everyone introducing themselves which put everyone at ease right away. He's a great driver, had everyone's comfort in mind. The tours themselves covered a lot of territory, and were accurately described. Really enjoyed both. Highly recommended.
