I booked a package holiday with Holiday with us in Wisbech, rather than booking online, as I thought they would be helpful choosing a destination and hotel and I also thought if there were any problems with the holiday they would deal with it. I wanted to go to Sardinia, I went into the branch to ask for help on choosing a hotel but all they did was look at online details and reviews which I had already done myself. I did book with them, however the hotel which was rated as 5 star was very disappointing, the pool was green with algae and unusable all week and there were other issues. I contacted holiday with us by email on my return and did not get a response. I then phoned and chased them after about a week and eventually got a call back from the manager. In the meantime I had contacted jet 2 to also raise the complaint and they dealt with a refund so holiday with us did nothing. From this experience I would not book with them again as there is no added benefit to booking online direct with the holiday company.
