Having been on many liveaboards around the world - there is a reason I have just booked my 5th trip with Blue O Two - the are quite simply the best at what they do, and they can't do enough to ensure that every trip is a trip of a life time.

We entered into Shark week, Daedalus, Brothers and Elphinstone, 12 July to 19 July 2019, on Blue Melody with hope and anticipation.
The week did not disappoint.
We all dive in hope. The week delivered.
Schools of scalloped hammerheads. Oh joy. I did not take enough photos.
It does not get much better than this.
Thanks to Elke Bojanowski for informative lectures and discussions on sharks and their behaviour. Great information and not 'drum banging conservation' as I feared it might be.
Boat, crew and fellow divers were great company.

Ive dived with blue 02 two times and each times it gets better weather your diving or eating ,you are looked after very well.its well worth the money ,all the staff on the boat were fabulous and on the evening just to chill out with a cold beer looking out at the red sea .we done the best of wrecks twice and met some great new friends well done blue o2 keep up the good work,saw my 1st shark at the brothers ,oceanic white tip 1 of 4 absolutely magic

Be very aware customers.Those who book early for a trip end up supplementing those who book late and receive exactly the same holiday. We booked in May of 2018 for a trip to Truk lagoon for January 2019 which cost us £5500 each and were told that there was only one premium room left that we had to pay £100 extra for so we booked. Our flights then were changed & then were told that because of flight schedules that we would have to stay extra nights in hotels in different countries ending up with three days travelling to Truk and five days return. Blue o two booked us into the Santa Fe Hotel in Guam on the return journey and others into The Bay view hotel Guam.The hotel was dirty smelly, mold in the bathroom dirty carpets hot water & telephones not working. I ended up sleeping in my clothes.The customers who went to the Bay view said that it was no better with the same problems. Also the Santa Fe was miles from anything having to catch buses or cabs where the Bay View was in the middle of the main shopping area..
We were on the truk master The captain Martin was excellent, very knowledgeable about the wrecks & area and ran a tight ship. The crew again were excellent & we were looked after for diving and our rooms extremely well and were all very friendly.BUT the boat was very tired & needed a lot of updating and repairs. The food was very average & not a lot of it. as we had to serve ourselves you did not want to take too much just in case there was not enough for others which happened occasionally.
When we were on board we then found out that just before christmas 2018 at least 8 of the 16 people on board received e mails form Blue o two offering the same holiday at a 40% discount . Also when you come to pay your onboard costs for beer & extra diving items you are charged $250 extra on top of your holiday cost for what they call marine park & port fees. This is to pay for a diving permit in truk lagoon which cost $50 for a permit for the year the rest is for what they call as anchorage and harbour fees. which is 50% shared with another boat called the Odessy and as you are a captive customer on board the boat you have no choice but have to pay it. They also recommend that a tip of 10% of your holiday cost which go to the crew. I do not begrudge this in any way as they were fantastic, which would have been for me, £350 not including flights, after paying the $250 for park fees etc I reduced this as an extra $700 on top of the £5500 we originally paid for the trip I thought was a bit much.
As a summary were were lied to about the rooms to gain more money. The hotels on Guam were appauling, they expect you to pay a lot of extras after agreeing to pay the initial cost.You spend 8 days travelling which has to come off of your annual holiday. They get you to sign about 7 pages of dialogue stating that they are not liable for anything. As far as I could make out even if the boat sank and everyone died they are still not liable.
The food was average & not much of it. We paid for 8 days of travelling which they say you have to have just incase of bad weather & you get stuck somewhere and flights are delayed. This is so that it does not cost them because of their bad organisation. The condition of the boat looks nothing like it does on the web site. We paid far more than most of the others on board as they booked late. The answer we got for that was it was to guarentee our place on board. We also filled in a survey on the boat which they ask if you want to be contacted when you return (but do not expect that). given all of the items listed above the diving was great. Blue o two only want your money they are not interested in customers satisfaction. Most of us on board thought the same about these items I have posted. I do not usually write reviews but thought that I had to with this one as it was so bad. I have been to the Maldives with blue o two before on Blue Voyager and had a fantastic time and could not complain. So be aware VERY AWARE of what you are booking and paying for before you regret it.

After a few hiccups at the start and a telephone conversation with a director things are starting to look good. Will complete the review when we return.
We had an excellent trip the crew, dive guides and ground crew were excellent. the food on board was a very high standard and lots of it.
We have already booked for next year.

If you want to catch Dysentery then book a week with Blue O2, all our concerns as more than 20 people got sick were dismissed. We even made the guide look at our salad that was in an uncovered bowl on the floor next to a large open bin for over 2 hours, she said it was fine and it was served and decorated every dish regardless. It would appear that this is a common issue and a number of us are going to take legal action.

Don't be their cash cow, less than a minutes attention to our concerns, but spent almost an hour arguing over £50 already paid with another guest.

Most amazing experience of my life (Red Sea M/Y Blue Fin, Northern Wrecks and Reefs)!!! This was my first livaboard, I traveled on my own and I hooked up with the Severnside SAC just before the trip. The facilities on the boat were exceptional, the crew were very attentive and the guides were couldn't have been more helpful. I am in awe of the beauty of the Red Sea and I have become a Wreck Addict! I highly recommend this dive holiday and I am planning my next one now. 11 out of 10 indeed. 🙂

Almost certainly one of the top organizations in the business. Everything from initial booking, travel, dive and hospitality experience is first rate. Any questions or concerns are dealt with in an efficient and friendly way. Dive vessels are some of the best I have seen in every location I have been to.

Really can't find anything negative to say, believe it or not. Just never had a negative experience.
