Just an awful company.
I have travelled with this company on 3 occasions which were overpriced but good. Their loyalty programme is a total joke and misleading. If you book a discounted trip for a Sale or late booking, LOYALTY means nothing. I did fall out with Explore when I booked my Kilimanjaro trip during their January Sale and the row erupted over non acceptance of Loyalty for my previous 3 trips. Basically as a New customer you get the same price as a Loyal Customer.

the quality of being loyal.
A strong feeling of support or allegiance.

On this occasion I did fall out with the Service Team Leader and ended up booking with their competion for a £1000 less and was even on the mountain on the same day, on the same route, at the same time as the Explore Group I would have been with and had a fantastic time. I did have a laugh at the fact the Explore holiday makers were paying a whole lot more than I was.
Had Explore honoured the 5% discount I was asking for I would have travelled with them without a second thought but they didn’t.
After a couple of years my partner decided she wanted to come with me on one of the trips and I did go back to explore and booked it, paid the deposit and then emailed them about the previous loyalty and also the fact I was bringing a New customer on board with them who was also looking to travel more in the future. Eventually I received a phone call from a very arrogant customer service team leader who said I couldn’t travel and was going to cancel the booking and refund my deposit.
I work in the retail industry and have to say I don’t take offence if someone argues about a Sale. I certainly wouldn’t then stop them dealing with us in the future.
No doubt I will receive a reply I cannot respond to. If a company is going to advertise “A Loyalty Programme” then let “Loyal” customers take advantage of it.

Currently doing Best of Morocco with Ibrahim, who is a Berber man. He is so knowledgeable and fun. He and our driver Mohammad have been a great team. We are a group of English, Aussies and Canadians who haven’t travel together before however looks like we will travel again as a group.
if you are looking to visit Morocco I would recommend this tour and ask for Ibrahim!!!

My wife and I recently returned from an Explore! trip to Madiera, what an amazing place only made better by the knowledge and professionalism of our guide João. A local, born and bred, he not only knew the flora and fauna of the islands he was able to connect us with his personal history via his grandfather engineering on the levada projects and his own childhood around the island. No real direct contact with Explore! as we used a travel agent, but they were aware it was our wedding anniversary, thanks to Beacon Travel telling them and João went above and beyond to ensure we were able to celebrate appropriately.

Trips may be good according to the reviews but the incompetence of their customer service in the office is unparalleled. Poor attitude, no attention to detail producing multiple copies of incorrect paperwork and unhelpful staff who promise to deliver, and then don't. If this is the quality of the staff in the office, what will the holiday be like?

A 13 day tour of Athens and the Cyclades, 16 multi aged diverse multi- country singles and couples participants obligingly led by local Peter. Quality stops at Syros Paros Naxos ending in Santorini , including brief stopovers at Delos and Mykonos. Recommend for new and or experienced travelers as the commentary is up to date and informative.

Have used Explore for the last 15 years and have not been disappointed with either the organisation or the trip itself. They have moved from UK to local guides who have often gone above and beyond to provide a good holiday for all participants. The tours cover a variety of countries and types of tours so one can always find something to suit them

Fantastic company. Looking forward to my 29th trip with Explore to Namibia in March. Always great experiences if you go with the right attitude and a sense of adventure. Fantastic guides and support from customer service on the rare occasion things go wrong.

Some people complaining about not getting offer prices. However Explore guarantees the price when booking (unlike many other companies) and I have saved lots by booking very early with inflation and increasing flight costs.

This is on principle
As a gold loyalty customer the Black Friday, up to 20% discount will not be applied to existing bookings .Makes a mockery of the loyalty rewards! I have travelled with this company for over 20 years now but the customer service side leaves much to be desired now
My communication with them has been disappointing they just don't seem to give a monkeys! They also will not allow me to email the CEO I can only deal with customer service
So I may not use the credit voucher in lieu of my deposit as Exodus offers an identical trip at a lower price Just sad after all of the previous good experiences with Explore
