I’ve been going to villa mar on and off for the past 18 years, so you might say I enjoy my time there. I started around the age of 10 after I sold my first pony to give me some more confidence with horses and because I just loved being around them. I’ve had two of my own horses there and I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. It’s one of the nicest yards I’ve ever been too, not like a lot of riding schools, it really does feel like one big family. I have really struggled with riding after a bad riding accident when I was 15 and this place has just brought my confidence back, from strength to strength. Thank you Villa Mar family ♥️

Amazing riding school, my daughter loves it here. She joins for full days and just for lessons - both are great. Sarah is wonderful with the children and has really helped my daughters confidence on a range of ponies and horses! Would recommend to anyone ❤️

The people are generous and the most genuinely kind people and Sarah is an incredible teacher who will help you do your best and always will boost your confidence after a tough ride. Villa mar is a truly wonderful place to be.

Fantastic family run riding school. Sarah is so helpful and willing to meet all your riding needs. It's the most trusting and fun yard I have ever been to and I would trust her with my children any time of the year.
There is a retaining fee if 24 hours notice is not given before cancellations which everyone is made aware of before booking.

My son, who has been worried by all animals to the age of 7, one day he said to us, I'd like to start horse riding, we jumped at the opportunity to try and get him over the animal worry, we visited Sarah's school (villa Mar) one Saturday afternoon for a walk around. The first thing we noticed is everyone is, "real salt of earth, proper local friendly people" staff and other riders all gel together to do a great job, the animals are all well cared for and also feel like part of the family. ?Our son has progressed massively in his confidence with animals and now helps with other jobs/tasks around the riding school and farm, which we think teaches them great core values whilst not being stuck inside on a screen 24/7, it's a great place and everyone mucks in literally!

My son has been riding here for nearly 2 years, he absolutely loves it, he has come on so much with his riding and it has really helped with his confidence too. Sarah and her family are lovely people and it has a very family orientated vibe where everybody looks after each other, would definitely recommend it.

Excellent first experience. My son has Autism and it was his 1st time on a horse. The staff were so patient and kind with him. He was unsure at first but with the help of the staff we managed to get him on and then he seemed to really relax and enjoy it. Will be back! Thankyou Villa Mar

I am a 56 years of age and never been horse riding until now . Sarah and everyone at Vila Mar are the kindest and the most supportive team I’ve met and without them I wouldn’t have the confidence or self belief that I could start riding a horse in my 50’s.
