We have just returned from the “Treasures of Tuscany at Easter” on Skills Optimum with Iain and Trina. What a fantastic holiday. Skills Optimum coaches are so comfortable, we were the last pick up and after a quick breakfast stop it was off to Dover. Not having to stop at a central pick up point like some other coach companies meant that we managed to get on an earlier ferry. Skills use DFDS ferries and a meal was included which was brilliant. We soon arrived at our hotel at Dijon for an overnight stop. The second day of travelling didn’t go so well due to a snow storm on the French side of the alps. Iain and Trina were calm and efficient and although we were a bit late, we arrived safely at our hotel in Tuscany. All day trips were include in the price and were efficiently carried out by the drivers and included some of Trina’s wonderful commentary about the local area. The trip back at the end of the holiday was just as efficient and made the holiday so much more enjoyable. Well done Trina and Iain! I think it was your first Optimum trip but we would never have known and your hospitality and care throughout the holiday was second to none ❤️

Just had amazing experience with skills.

A phone call from driver Tom 4 hours before plane was due to land introducing himself and sending me a picture of the coach to make it easier for my 43 passanges to find when they arrived, sent me a tracker when they left so I could track the arrival time what a lovely gentleman went above and beyond.

Then for the next 4 days we had driver Paris she also went above and beyond, arrived 10 minutes early every morning, had her day planned in great detail to make the day run as smoothly as possible, she also sent me a tracker when they were on the way home that was amazing.

All in a 2 amazing drivers

Our driver for the main journey to France was Colin or was it Carl? (my memory of names is shocking), he was prompt, kind, had a dry sense of humour which you have to have on a long journey, sadly not everyone understands this, and knows how to spin a coach around in tight places. I still can't park my car straight after 46 years let alone a coach. The students felt completely safe and the journey went without a hitch can't praise the company enough. If I'd have had change on me I'd have bought him a drink which I do feel quilty for not doing. Many thanks.

I arranged a trip to Cambridge for Sunday 13th October. for 35 children In the email I made to book the coach I gave the address of where I wanted to go.
Everything was confirmed and paid for.
When we arrived at the meeting point the driver said there was a problem as her coach was a tourist one and would not be allowed to get near to where we wanted to go. She said that she would have to stop a 45 minute walk away and then we would have to make our own way. I told her that we were not informed before so this was completely unacceptable as we had 35 children with us who were waiting for this trip. She blamed "the office upstairs" who she said had not informed us.

We finally decided to get to the Park and ride she had suggested we be dropped off at. Whilst on route I spoke with the place we were visiting. They said coaches drop the passengers off and then go elsewhere to park. I told the driver who was having none of it. We arrived at the park and ride and the gentleman there spoke with her and told her she was able to get closer than 45 mins away. At this point she became increasingly rude to us and said she would turn the coach around and take us back. The gentleman at the park and ride told her where she could go so she listened and dropped us 25 minutes away. We then took her number and said we would call her when we were done and we would meet her where she had dropped us off. We tried calling her on numerous occasions but she never picked up our calls.
Her behaviour towards us was unacceptable and rude for the entirety of our trip and I will never book with Skills again.

Went to the day trip to Camden Yesterday. And Although Camden Town was amazing Skills however were not.
Pick up was 8.30 am city center and we didn't get dropped off in Camden until 12.15pm to then be told we had to be back on the bus by 16.15!! If I had known the pick up time was that I certainly wouldn't have bothered. Then to top it off we got on the bus for 16.15 and got dropped off in the city center at 20.20!! 8 1/2 hours for 4 rushed hours was ridiculous 🤦🏻

Great drivers bloody amazing! All off em! shame they keep leaving can only imagine what managements like, drivers go above and beyond usually especially the coach drivers.

My husband and I went on a skills holiday to Newquay staying at the the Barrowfield Hotel. The experience was awful. The food was disgusting cheap budget and bland. The room we had I'm sure was staff quarters chipped walls the shower and toilet smelt of stale urine. We looked out over a horrid carpark looking at derelect buildings. Never again. The 5 day holiday cost us £900 plus 2 excursions at £50 a trip. I was amazed to find out that other guests had booked through the hotel and paid £159 each and £12 each excursion. Makes me wonder what our money actually paid for it certainly wasn't the food or comfort. I have asked to be refunded as this is unacceptable. Photos have been taken and sent to skills I suffer very badly with fibromyalgia and I came back feeling so unwell and in terrible pain. We also ate out which cost us more money on top of what we had already paid skills.

I am compelled to share the disheartening experience we endured with this awful coach company. What was supposed to be a seamless journey to and from a wedding, located four hours away, turned into an ordeal of epic proportions due to the company's gross negligence.

Our group, comprising 45 men, women, and children, including elderly and young children, was shockingly abandoned without any means of returning home. Despite prior arrangements and confirmations, the company failed to provide the promised return transportation. This left us stranded and scrambling for taxis at our own expense, which ultimately cost us thousands.

The distress caused to the elderly and children was palpable. The lack of communication and support from the coach company was not only unprofessional but also deeply inconsiderate. The experience has left an indelible mark on what was meant to be a joyous occasion.

I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice.
