Fantastic educational and historical place to visit... Absolutely the crown jewel of the crown jewels! The tower itself is daunting, the pure history is absolutely chilling! I would love to go to this place at midnight and just wait for the ghosts to rise 🙂

Great visit. Crown Jewels and the changing of the guard are always a great experience. Torture chamber is lacking but why add when you want authenticity. I just thought the Tower would have more ways of treating prisoners. Armory is amazing and the large Ravens are fascinating

It is a pleasure to see a lot of history being preserved and displayed for public. Make sure you book in advance and give atleast around 4-5 hours to cover most of the attractions and gift shops. The main attraction including the Crown Jewels can have a queue for about 40 mins or so on a good sunny weekend.

You can buy tickets right at the entrance. The area is very large, don't worry about not getting in. Several buildings to see. They have small cafés to get food and drinks. Check out the crown jewels, see the place of execution of Ann Bolin, and much more. It was packed full of history.

A London must-see! I highly recommend getting a private tour first thing in the morning so you are able to see the opening of the gates & you are one of the first people inside to see the crown jewels which tends to get extremely busy as the day goes on, often having a long queue. We used the company Walks and it was just a three hour tour with a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. I would allow between 3 to 5 hours to view this historic spot.

All history buffs, a huge recommendation to go visit. 4 hours was simply not enough time to see everything. Go early as it gets crowded later in the day, lots of souvenir shops and cafes within the walls so no need to leave. Definitely will go back.

Interesting experience, the main building in the middle has lots of interactive activities for children. The changing of guards was fun to watch. It’s a shame you can’t take pictures inside where the Crown Jewels are.

What a cool place! Can easily spend 3-4 hours here (or less if you want). There’s so much to see and read about - from medieval weapons to the Crown Jewels to the prisoners kept in the tower - it’s all there. They also offer free tours from guides with your ticket purchase. Beware of lots of steps!

Go up
