Tara is a fantastic tour guide. She is incredibly knowledgeable on every tour, she is incredibly personable and has a knack of making history come alive. The passion is tangible and I couldn’t help be in awe of the history across Northumberland from Hadrian’s Wall to Bamburgh Castle. I highly recommend taking a Tara’s Tour, you will not be disappointed

I had a wonderful weekend exploring Northumberland with Tara. I learned so much about the area and it's rich history that I never knew before. Tara has a great way of making history fun and easy to digest. Northumberland is truly a hidden gem, there is so much to see and I wouldn't recommend anyone else but Tara to truly experience it. What a special 2023 Summer exploring Northumberland with Tara’s Tours. I only had a week and Tara was so efficient and knowledgeable about the history of this beautiful County. Tara prepared personal tours for me and I am not sure I can name a favourite, but think the Puffin trip was pretty special and would definitely go again. However the Hadrian’s Wall and Sycamore gap tour just blew my mind. I loved walking along this Wall hearing the history from Tara and decided to look for any hidden messages left in the wall that might have been missed. Then there was the incredible visit to Wallington Hall and Cragside, the incredibly beautiful gardens on these estates make you feel like you are walking through paradise, and then the magnificent insides of these beautiful old homes with all the history and fascinating stories that Tara tells is just wonderful. Another day spent with Tara’s Tours at Chillingham was also stunning. The history of the wild cattle is fascinating, and then you get taken into the home and I was transported into a different time. It was fascinating and totally unexpected. Tara has a wealth of knowledge, which makes these tours with her an experience on its own. Thank you for showing me so much of this beautiful County. I highly recommend using Tara’s Tours if you want to enjoy visiting Northumberland.

Tara was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the area, sharing the fascinating history and insights that brought the past to life. As a horse lover myself, Tara organised a day at the Burgham Horse Trial, the attention to detail and the personalised touch made the tour truly special.
