Liked: On site cafe was great as was the venue for fishing.

Disliked: One of the permanent residents was running a petrol generator both nights we were there up until 10pm which we found annoying and disturbed what should have been our peaceful time.

Were not happy, the lady on the phone told us that the lake we were fishing on had a good head of 10-25lb carp which we were looking to be catching. On arrival we were told that the average stamp is 8lb and it’s a starters lake. We also drove an hour and a half we fished for 4 hours to catch one fish that was small. The breakfast was delicious though.

Liked: - The pitch and facilities are good
- The site, lakes and woods are lovely
- The cafe is good
- The staff are nice
- The location is good, withing walking distance of both Battle and Catsfield which are lovely

Disliked: They have closed their farm shop, so you can't any dinner there after a day of hiking (unless you want to eat worms from the tackle shop they now have instead)

Liked: Love this site - as evidenced by returning for my second visit. The onsite cafe serves a great breakfast. Nice onsite farm shop too. Friendly reception on plenty of space to pitch. Facilities are generally good, however the toilets could do with having toilet roll refreshed more often. Lovely lakes to walk round

Disliked: Showers a little dated - no seats in the mens showers. Toilets were not cleaned/restocked as often as I would like.

Liked: Peace and quite. Plenty of room around your pitch. Clean toilets and showers.
Farm shop and cafe on site.

Disliked: Bit of a slope to pitch on but not a huge problem.
Toilet facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade but clean and serviceable.

Liked: Location was great, lakes pretty, lots to walk around and see, reception was very welcoming and the shop was good. one side of the site was on a bit of a slope although they provided some wood so we could level the caravan. Loads of space on the site too.

Disliked: Toilets and Showers were ok, a little basic and could have been kept a bit cleaner

Liked: We stayed on the electric pitches with our 6 man tent. Pitch we stayed on was rather steep. The grounds are great, campsite clean and well kept. Nights were quiet. The onsite facilities are a bonus : farm shop and cafe. The woodland walk was great 2, 2 lengths available. Goals up was a bonus for football loving children. A great location, easy to explore the local area. We would definitely come back.

My only suggestion would be to update the showers.

A great 4 night stay.
