Just wanting to tell about my experience with Cotswolds Guided Tours. I did their 2 days North and South Guided tour and I have to say it was fantastic. A small group tour with Richard as our guide and driver. His knowledge of the Cotswolds was so very good. He and his wife,Lucy, made the whole experience so very good. Absolutely loved it all.

We spent an amazing 3 days with Richard touring the Cotswolds. It's a lot to commit to three days with a private tour but the itinerary was very good including both what we expected to see and a number of unexpectedly delightful areas that we were unaware of. Furthermore we found Richard to be engaging, pleasant and deeply informative. We also got a bit lucky as the weather fully cooperated and faced no rain or travel interruptions during the tour. Finally it's worth noting that Lucy who coordinated the tour kept us informed at every step including recommending a hotel for us to stay in (Abbots Grange) which we were not aware of and which was simply stunning. I commend both Lucy and Richard for their touring company and highly recommend it!

Lucy & Richard's tour company is a gem. Being the owners, locals and your guide, they give you an up-close, personal and unique look the Cotswolds. I read about them in Rick Steve's latest travel book and so glad they had a few reservations left for this fall. Their tour could be considered a photo tour as they always made sure that you had great photo opportunities. Would highly recommend!

We loved our Bucket List tour!!!! Richard provided so much information on the area and explained different things to us that we did not know. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to really explore the area for the day! Lucy was wonderful at keeping in touch leading up to our day and always so helpful answering any questions I had. Both Lucy and Richard do a great job making your day special. This level of customer care is rare these days! Thank you both for helping make our holiday extra special!!

This private guided tour of the Cotswolds sounded really great and we were not disappointed!! I had heard about their company through a recent Rick Steves video. Lucy is a very good communicator and helped set up the details. Her husband Richard picked my husband and me up at our hotel in Bourton-on-Water and we spent the next 6 hours visiting 6 other villages with time allotted to explore and have lunch, etc. Richard has a gift for sharing the history and folklore of the region and we enjoyed every minute!!! Can't recommend this enough!

My two day tour with Cotswolds Guided Tours in June was the highlight of my solo trip to the UK. All the planning and booking details were handled impeccably by Lucy. Connecting with the tour at Moreton in Marsh was easy by train from London Paddington Station.
Richard was an excellent tour guide filling us in on local history and interesting facts with a good amount of light hearted humour.
We visited some of the more well known towns and explored other hidden gems.
The eight seater vehicle was new and very comfortable.
I highly recommend this amazing Tour run by Lucy and Richard.

If you are considering a trip to the Cotswolds, you must go with Richard and Lucy. They are an amazing team, Lucy helped advise me on where to stay, how to dress, (comfy shoes), and what to expect while on tour. We traveled with 3 others in a comfortable van while Richard told us all about where we were or the interesting history of where we were going. A real plus, we were able to hear everything he said because he wore a microphone which was nice because on some trips we’ve taken the audio isn’t good.
The villages we visited were just beautiful, the stone houses, thatched roofs, and streams that ran through several were just what we wanted to see. My husband’s favorite sites were Snowshill and Bourton on the Water, I loved them all, but Bibury really was lovely too. So, take the trip! You won’t be disappointed!

We had an incredible private tour with Cotswolds Guided Tours during our UK vacation in mid-August 2024, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment Richard picked us up at our hotel, everything was perfectly arranged and stress-free. The tour was tailored to our interests and adjusted as needed throughout the day to suit the weather, which made the experience feel both flexible and personalized.

Richard’s knowledge of the area, especially the history and architecture, added so much depth to the day. Living in the Cotswolds, he shared fascinating stories about the villages and local life, providing unique insights you wouldn’t find on a typical tour.

We especially appreciated the relaxed pace, allowing us to explore on our own at each stop. Knowing our love for border collies, Richard and Lucy even arranged for us to meet their dog, Shep, at the start of the day, which was a delightful personal touch.

The vehicle was clean, modern, and comfortable, and Richard’s attention to detail was exceptional—even cleaning up after our muddy shoes!

If you’re looking for a personalized and informative tour of the Cotswolds, I highly recommend Cotswolds Guided Tours. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
