A well-aged pub/hotel in a pleasant setting, though the car park is narrower than the picture might indicate. ||We were seated in a comfortable, barn like restaurant space which was filling up fast by the time we left; service was friendly and helpful throughout and prices were reasonable. ||My Moo Blue Pie with mash was nicely crusty, though I would have liked more chunks of beef. The Chicken Thai Curry was judged 'Excellent... not too hot', by my partner As for our desserts - I found my caramel apple tart was a little bland and overpowered by the ginger ice cream. Contrariwise while my better half liked the christmas pudding she loved the mud slide ice cream she had requested as a substitute side! ||Beers (Tribute and Ghost Ship) were good.| |All in all we left happy for what we had received.

First and foremost, the staff were very welcoming and didn't hurry us into making our choice of food. Just as well in my case, as I liked the look of everything on the menu. The food arrived hot, well presented and very tasty. The portions were generous and the prices so reasonable. 2 courses for 4 people, drinks to start and coffee to finish, less than £100. My friend was very surprised at how low the price of a pint was. We'll definitely go again. Thanks to the staff for a lovely evening .

I don’t normally write trip advisor reviews but on this occasion I felt I had to.|This pub stay was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The pub itself is absolutely gorgeous, has so much character and it’s so friendly. |It was very easy to book the room online which was a double bed and breakfast. This room was very well cleaned, really spacious, had a tv, fridge, tea & coffee set up and a lovely spacious bathroom. |This place has 4 rooms in the pub itself and 4 rooms in a building directly opposite the pub. Next to this is the most convenient, beautiful shop too which is very lucky as I spoke to a local and apparently that’s the only shop around so to have it on the door step is great!||The only downfall was, we were in room 401 I believe and you hear every single tiny movement throughout the night from the room directly above. We had a couple staying above us and they were literally pacing the room from 10pm till about 12pm and then first thing in the morning at 7am till 9am when we decided we couldn’t sleep through it anymore! |I understand it’s an older building but it is the thing that has put me off staying again.||As we were stayed at the pub we decided to have dinner that night there and then breakfast in the morning which was included. For dinner we booked a table (which I would highly recommend as it’s a small pub so getting a table would be really difficult), we put a £10 pp deposit down and had the most wonderful food. Menu selection is big, food was great! I would just say be careful when paying your bill to make sure your paid for deposit is on there and deducted from the bill. When we paid ours in the morning we nearly paid extra (I think the girl behind the bar was new and didn’t know to check this before printing the bill, nothing on purpose but just check to be sure).||The breakfast in the morning was 10/10. |There was fruit bowls, yogurts, breakfast bars, cereal, juice and water to help yourself too. Then you had the choice of about 7 different types of breakfast which had very generous portions, it was absolutely amazing!||Overall it was a great experience. 4/5

We went for a meal and all enjoyed our choices. I have ever had such hot fish and chips, right to the last bite. Normally they go cold before finishing, but these stayed lovely. Thank you.

The hotel was a perfect, amazing location and the village is magical, the deluxe room was great for us too, cosy and relaxing. The pub was very cosy, welcoming, and enjoyed the selection of food available for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and catered to us. I can't wait to revisit back again. The shop on site was perfect.

Wonderful breakfast from a good range of choices including a breakfast omelette which was lovely. Very good shop ajoining and run by pub. Parking on site available. Will definitely stay there again.
