We booked the Laykin Cottage in Low Row for two weeks in June 2019. The place itself is nice and well equipped, but drive up/down was a disaster, which was never mentioned by Gorgeous Cottage or the owners until 4 days before we arrived. They have changed their ad now, but beware. This will cost us £1000 to get our car repaired!

just been to cottage Wyke Cottage in Stainsdale north Yorkshire. Beautiful cottage. WE have been a few times. But no more. Not enough wood chopped, sink had egg yolk all down one side. Dish washer stunk. 2 light in both bathrooms broke. We reported Pull down blinds broke in larger bedroom to Housekeeping and to Owner as soon as we arrived. Not enough rubbish bags, dish washer tablets. Fire grate was not cleaned out. The wooden tub outside had black at the bottom. One of the ladies in our group got infection from using it, which they did not know it was dirty till it was emptied.Mrs Douglas

We own a little house on the edge of the North York Moors and let it out so others can enjoy our haven in Helmsley as much as we do. Gorgeous Cottages is the perfect agency for us. We have access to their solid booking system and we're sent useful weekly reminders of upcoming bookings. Communications are managed very well. If you have a (gorgeous) property you’d like to let out in Yorkshire, look no further.

We stayed at Partridge Cottage in Chops Gate this week with our dog.
The setting is wonderful however, there are a few things that need attention - Bathroom door sticks hard meaning you stub your toes most times you enter. The fridge works overtime freezing whatever touches the sides or back of it. Oven needed a good steam clean and the washing machine was full of some type of blue wool!

When we booked we asked for an enclosed garden and was told we had one and had the moors as our back garden for the dog. The Moors have young Pheasants running free so we where unable to let dog off the lead.
Therefore we had to take the dog in the car to another location. I was very clear when I booked that I either needed an enclosed garden or good walks for the dog not far away on foot.

Nor that impressed with Gorgeous Cottages and their knowledge of the properties.

We’ve had a lovely family time in the picturesque village of Catterick. We can recommend the local Bay Horse Pub and the Fish & chip shop. Cherry Tree House is a fabulous property and Jan the owner has pulled out all the stops to make sure that her guests have everything that they could possibly need, including personalized advice on local tourist spots and a top class welcome hamper. The games room was a bonus and was enjoyed during bad weather. We would love to revisit in the summertime to experience the lovely garden and barbecue area.

We have stayed in properties managed by this company and never been disappointed. The staff are very helpful , efficient and the booking was so easy. The properties for self-catering stays in Yorkshire are by far the best we have stayed in . They now have pet friendly cottages too which is an added bonus!

I’ve been using GC for many years and am never disappointed. Love the dog friendly option. Saves so much time on my search. Staff are friendly and professional. My go to site for a short or long break in Yorkshire. When are you expanding to the rest of the country?
