Everytime I’ve come here the staff are really helpful and informative.

It’s right next to the train and bus station so they can easily point you the right direction to head out for the day.

Very knowledgeable on the area and what walks are best to suit your needs and different ways of approaching them.

There’s also a locker storage facility which is £10 for the day which is very useful when you have a later train home and want to make the most of the day. Just make sure you check what time you have to be back to collect items out the locker 3:30pm in winter.

Bag storage is £10 but got charged £5 as only was two and a half hours left, which was generous. Lockers are quite large and would even fit big suitcases. Very lovely man and lady who were there.

A lovely lady behind the counter helped me when I asked about their luggage storage service. She gave me a discount as I was only using it for 2 hours. Very friendly.

Too busy, any enjoyment destroyed can hardly park. Clearly a victim of its own success. Limited retailing. I won't visit Lake District anymore there are better quieter places.

I visited with my two daughters, late on a weekday. I realise the staff are maybe tired after a long day but this is one place , when you've got an empty centre
, where I would expect the staff member to lift his head and at least acknowledge us! And no free maps either!

Super helpful service of luggage storage at the Windermere tourist information centre. Very convenient location just couple of minutes from the bus/ train interchange at Windermere. The locker was good sized with proper lock; costed £7 to hold our luggage. The lady at the reception was lovely and helped us plan our walk around Windermere as we had only 3-4 hrs to spend there.
Just have to be mindful that the luggage needs to be collected by 4:30pm.

Great service and very very useful to have!!

Luggage storage service available. Cost £8 per locker. Quite big, can put 1 big suitcase. However, you have to collect it before 4:30pm (30mins before they close) so better plan your schedule ahead.
