I moored my boat at Shepperton Marina for five years, leaving in 2025.
Pros:
- well kept
- facilities very good (particularly shower block)
- good parking
Cons:
- quite expensive relative to other local marinas
- you have to pay 12 months fees in advance (or else pay very high interest rate on staged payments)
- three months notice required to leave
- if you sell your boat while it is moored there they levy a charge of 1% + vat of the sale price (not sure what for exactly)
- when we left, despite having purchased three gate fobs from the marina office, we were refunded for only one of them. The office said they only had records for us purchasing one of them - though you can't buy them anywhere else so not sure where they thought we got them. I guess they were implying that (a) they had given the extra fobs to us (which would NEVER happen as they really are quite venal), or (b) we had stolen the fobs from someone. Only £20 per fob - but has left a sour taste

Shepperton Marina is extremely well run by a highly dedicated team. The facilities are excellent as too are the berths. I highly recommend this marina as a permanent berth or visitor.

Lovely marina with excelente facilities. I was sour at my last visit, though, as the public no longer have access to the pontoons to admire the views and the lovely boats moored there. I understand the coded gate has been installed for security reasons but I mourn the time we could just walk around freely...

We have moored our boat, Tehran, at Shepperton Marina for the past three years and have had an exceptional experience. The marina itself is well-maintained and offers excellent facilities, but what truly sets it apart is the outstanding service provided by the marina manager, Lisa Harris.

Lisa has been incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind throughout our time at the marina.
