Booking on line only which was quite straightforward. Staff in the lido to help when you arrive. Video to watch online beforehand, which was extremely useful. Beautiful tranquil journey up the river in a canoe, a fantastic experience, highlighted by seeing 3 kingfishers.

Make sure you book the lido separately, it's often fooly booked on warm days. The river is calm but sadly hardly any place to moor and swim.

Booked a half day (3hr) session online, picking up from Beccles Lido. All pretty straightforward and reasonable-ish (£40). Got the confirmation email with link to YouTube instructional video and a checklist attachment but no map of the river. Turned up at the lido but no-one on hand, no pre-loaded canoes with life vests, paddles etc as had been advised. After some milling around and chatting to another group in the same position, we did manage to track down a lido staff member who got us sorted and under way. Enjoyed the rest of the session out on the water but not exactly overwhelmed by the Canoeman experience. Shame.

Easy to book, and when needed to move our time slot at short notice, service was fab. When arriving at pick-up point, service was really great and equipment was of good standard. Had such a good time out on the river and wished had booked for longer. Drop off was just as easy. Overall very impressed and would definitely use again.

The Canoe Man went above and beyond to sort my booking out after I had got in a muddle rushing through my online booking. We had lovely family day out marking a very special occasion, and are seriously considering making it an annual event on the basis of our experience. We had a 3 hour canoe hire from Beccles Lido, to see how our Cocker Spaniel puppy liked being on the water. We all had a great time with swans, ducks, wild swimmers (which really fascinated our dog) and a really close encounter with an Otter (about 5 ft away for a good 10 minutes)! Would have been 5 stars but instruction video did not tie in with the booking in on the day. Luckily we had our own kit so once the Lido staff had located the appropriate person we were on the water - so no time wasted

Booked a 1 day trip in an Canadian Canoe, 2 adults and a dog.
Canoe ready when we arrived, helpful girl from lido sorted us out, had a lovely day on the river.
Unfortunately, the kitchen at The Lofts was still closed following flooding earlier in the year so we had drinks but no food- check before you go to see if it's open yet.
There was also a superb rope swing into the river just upstream from Beccles where we swam and swung.
