We wanted to ride the "Way of the Roses" and we also wanted to ride through the Yorkshire Dales. Pedal Power put together a nice route that combined both routes. They also facilitated transfers back to the west coast so we could ride Hadrian's Bikeway as well. The routing was wonderful - a few steep spots, but they are to be expected in the Dales. Every lodging was great. We received a nice packet with maps, housing info, GPS routes, luggage tags well ahead of our trip. No hesitations at all recommending Pedal Power as someone to help arrange a supported ride.

We have just completed a self guided coast to coast trip with pedal power and all went smoothly. Luggage collected and delivered on time and any communications answered quickly.
The route was well signed but the provided gpx files were invaluable for navigating.
The B and Bs arranged for us were outstanding, excellent bike storage and friendly hospitality
Thanks Ian and Darren, a fabulous trip

We had a great experience with Peddle Power on our coast to coast Hadrians Wall bicycle trip. Ian was excellent in helping set everything up, and Darren was excellent for support out on the trip, full of good tales, suggestions, and helpful information. In general, the Pedal Power folks are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and well organized. We wanted to do a bicycle trip across the Hadrians Wall route in UK but had little knowledge of the route, accommodations, sites, etc. Pedal Power was great to work with, full of good suggestions, never pushy (another company that works in the area can be described as such) and always responsive. They also provided good bicycles for us. We had first arranged our trip in 2021, but Covid busted that deal. Pedal Power was completely understanding and accommodating for cancellation—no troubles. On our 7-day trip May 2023, our accommodations were good to excellent, located in great areas, had good food and drink, and good atmosphere. Darren’s logistical support was flawless. The bikes performed without a hitch. Based on our experience, we can certainly recommend Pedal Power; in point of fact, we are thinking about a second UK bicycle trip and will use them again.

Fantastic self guided tour on the Yorkshire Dales Cycleway. Pedal Power set up all we needed to enjoy a fantastic tour.

We ride a lot of bikes but still found the 4 days of cycling program challenging enough. The Dales has a lot of climbing which provides amazing views.

We hired bikes just for one day - 3 adults and a 12 year old - and had a lovely bike ride from Amble to Alnmouth (via Warkworth) and back. It was self- guided as we're local to the North East. The bikes were comfortable, very reasonably priced, good availability, and communication was very easy. I fully recommend Pedal Power and will definitely be hiring from them again in the future.

My partner and I did the 4-day C2C on road bikes (25 and 28 m tyres) using GPX files produced by Ian at Pedal Power – they were perfect – we only got lost a few times and that was when the Wahoo lost the route but C2C signs were easy to find – just carry straight on until the next one appears. We are a reasonably fit couple in our mid to late 60s and the rides were challenging but we both got up all the hills without stopping (even the three miles up Hartside pass!) An idea of timings is as follows remembering that this was a holiday for us not a race: Day 1 to Keswick we cycled for 3 h 30 mins, day 2 to Alston we cycled for 5 h 10 mins, day 3 to Knitsley we cycled for 4 h and on day 4 to Tynemouth for 3 h and 50 mins (including some backtracking when lost!). The last stage is a short distance but takes time as there are quite a lot of busy roads to cross. Darren picked us up in Tynemouth and drove us back to Whitehaven. He was delightful and extremely knowledgable about cycling and tempted us with some other rides for the future. The bag transfers were also handled by Darren, seamlessly. It made the whole trip so easy (even carrying a stirrup pump in one bag). Accommodation was varied but good quality and we ate and drank well every evening. We had no punctures or technical problems, but having a list of bike shops along the route and knowing if the worst happened we could call Pedal Power was reassuring. We stopped at the bike shop at Nenthead to chat to the owner and a couple with Pedal Power turned up with a bike problem and Ian was on the phone to the shop owner straight away – very reassuring and professional. We would recommend Pedal Power for a great experience.

Can't rate pedal power highly enough for the recent journey back to st. Bees from Newcastle after our coast to coast with our bikes.
They were prompt and efficient and got us back in good time for our celebratory pub meal. Darren, our driver was fantastic and I would recommend this service to anyone needing any help or assistance with their own cycling adventure.
