This was the best tour we’ve been on half way through our 28 day TransAtlantic cruise on the Princess Regal. My husband, friends and I can’t say enough about our fabulous tour guide, Danny. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful and attentive to everyone on the day long small group bus tour. Better yet, he was hilarious. The tour stops were all interesting and the countryside is beyond beautiful. We enjoyed it fully despite the dreary weather. Danny made sure we were all comfortable and got us back to the cruise ship with plenty of time to spare.

I also want to mention communication before the tour was concise with easy to follow instructions on meeting our tour guide. Highly recommend.

We took a tour to the Jurassic Coast during our 10-day cruise, and it was by far the best tour we took. Our tour guide, Maryann, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. She had a wealth of information about the area, and she was able to make the tour both educational and entertaining. We had a wonderful time on our tour to the Jurassic Coast, and we would highly recommend it to anyone. The Jurassic Coast is a truly beautiful place.

Our cruise ship got diverted due to a strike in France at our terminal port to Isle of Portland. We booked a tour to see the Jurassic coast. Danny was our tour guide and did an awesome job. This was one of our best tours ever. The whole tour was extremely well organized. AAA +

A very thorough tour passing though such lovely scenery. We felt spoilt even though it was a rainy day! Our guide Danny was very positive and knowledgeable and managed to plan our trip well so we saw plenty despite the low visibility. Kindly we were offered a partial refund as the weather became too bad to do the last few stops.

We did the Stonehenge & Salisbury Cathedral Shore Excursion and loved every moment of it! Our tour group was led by Terri and there were only 4 guests (including us), so our tour was incredibly personal and easily customized to what we wished to see an do. Since we all arrived early, we departed early and made it to Stonehenge before all of the tour groups booked by our cruise line arrived. At Stonehenge, we explored on our own. For us, visiting Stonehenge was a "bucket list" item so we didn't spend too much time on the exhibit or the audio tour.
Since she's a local to Portland, Terri also drove us around Portland and took us to the overlooked gems and photo opportunities of the Island that tour buses wouldn't be able to access.

That evening on ship the other three parties at our dinner table shared stories of what they had seen and done in Portland. They had all booked tours through the cruise line, versus our independent tour with Dorset Tours. Everyone at the table marveled at the adventure we had gone on, and the sights we had seen, and the things we had learned along the way. Next time I'm in Portland, I will DEFINITELY book another tour or excursion with Dorset Tours.

Take this tour! We had an excellent day with Danny, he took us to Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth (and recommended lunch spots -the one we picked was great - called Hatch). He was knowledgable, friendly and funny. Small group in a comfortable van, highly recommend!
