Stayed at Vincent Lodge for 6 nights with our two Patterdale terriers. Was made to feel welcome by Charli who made a big fuss over our dogs.|We stayed in the twin room which was nice & airy with en-suite facilities. Breakfast was Continental with a nice selection of pastries, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, fresh orange & coffee.|Vincent Lodge is situated close to the beach & high street, an ideal location. We really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone..|BIG THUMBS UP FROM US 👍🏼

Charly and Scott welcome you into their home, with 2 seperate rooms, and a place to have breakfast. They are so attentive and friendly. We stayed with our 18 month Beagle. It was my significant other halfs birthday on the day we stayed, and they even got her some flowers and a card! Place is very clean, very close to the sea, nice parking area. Can not fault the location or our hosts. Thank you!!

Very friendly host. This B & B has potential to be very good with a few changes and could commend a slightly higher cost.||Room size very good with access to the Breakfast are. Separate outside door off the breakfast area, for the two rooms. Also allows pets. Lovely large towels, electric towel rail. Plenty of parking.||A couple of streets from the Beach front.||But the room was very dusty. Room just needs a good clean and re-touch up the paint work. The curtains are a bit thin and don't block out the light.||Not enough sugar and not replenished daily, couple of biscuits would have been a nice touch.||Very small TV||There was was a small two seater sofa bed in the room which is nice but very soft and low to get out of.||Breakfast is buffet style during the week unless you wait until after the school run.||Understand during Covid difficult times. Not enough butter, spare left in the fridge would be good, x2 small packs per person. No sugar in the breakfast area either but too late to ask for more as already left. Offered a proper coffee on the hosts return but finished Breakfast.||First morning a brown loaf of bread left on the table along with yogurt, strawberries, croissants and Bran/granola type Cereal no choice of breads or different cereal ie cornflakes, Weetabix etc ||Kettle and toaster to do it yourself. All the fresh food left uncovered to the flies.||2nd morning a bit more choice of bread and crumpets, but left out loose on a plate. x2 fruit choices but still the same cereal. Plenty of jams but no marmalade.||The guest Wi Fi wasn't very good, at best one bar.

Stayed at Vincent Lodge twice now, once in June and once in July. Tried both rooms, lovely and spacious with cosy decor. Really close to the beach and there are some cute cafes etc within walking distance of the house. Charlie is the most welcoming owner, to us and our elderly dog. So friendly, funny and accommodating, a real gem! Fell in love with their family dogs on our first trip, couldn't wait to come back and see them this time around. We will be back again, just love coming here!

Boxing Day has been the second time my other half and I have stayed here, Our hostess was as lovely as ever an made sure we were comfortable and did not hesitate in making conversation, The room we have stayed in was lovely and cosy, clean and very relaxed. We have had a lovely time staying here on both occasions and it has played a part in some good memories. we very much hope to stay again soon.

The only positive thing about our stay at the Vincent lodge was the location.
Our room was very dirty. Thick layer of dust and cobwebs everywhere, mucky surfaces, including the door handles and lots of staines on the carpet and mould in the shower.
Luckily I brought some anti-bacterial wet wipes with me and could clean the room before letting my son touching any surfaces.
In these times with Covid 19 around I would have expected any place providing accommodation to have their rooms up to scratch, sparkling clean and sanitised.
The breakfast room wasn’t any better regarding cleanliness. Lots of crumbs on the tables and chairs. Cobwebs and dust all around.
Lastly the promised breakfast.
Well, if you can be happy with a bowl of cereal or dry piece of bread then you might be just fine.
We stayed 3 nights at the lodge. First morning, Charlie rushed in with a few slices of bread and a pot of yogurt. Small packets of jams were already on the serving table together with a jug of milk and orange juice.
She did offer me a coffee which I politely declined. But I did ask for a napkins. She came back with ONE scrunched up napkin and left to take her little one to the nursery.
No full english breakfast which everyone was mentioning and upraising in the reviews I’d read before booking this place. No fresh pastry or fruit like on the pictures on the Vincent lodge’s website. But not even a basic thing like butter!!!!
The following morning, there was nothing apart from the jars of cereal!
And nothing on the following day!
Where was our promised and paid for breakfast?
What and when did it go so wrong with this place? How is it possible for us to have such a bad and disappointing experience when I was reassured by all the positive reviews from previous customers, that Vincent lodge is the best place to stay at?
Have their standards slipped so dramatically or were we just unlucky?
To sum it all up. I was very disappointed and upset with our stay at the Vincent lodge and judging purely on our experiences, I would not recommend this B&B nor I would stay there again.

This 2 bedroom, on suite bathroom and a kitchen/living room was just perfect for our weekend stay. The owners who live in the main part of the house are very friendly and accommodating. It was a very comfortable stay. Would definitely book here again.

Just had a lovely 2 night break here. ||||I do not agree with Diane M & Luckina’s comments about the cleanliness , there was building work being carried out during our stay (which didn’t have any impact on us) & our room was spotless, and once we left the breakfast room Charli was cleaning the surfaces with anti bac spray, There has been a new carpet laid in both rooms (which had that lovely new carpet smell). ||||When we booked we were made aware that only a continental breakfast was available, unless we waited until after the school run, which we were happy to do. I found plenty of jam’s & extra butter in the fridge, so again I can’t see why Luckina didn’t check in there or ask the evening before to ensure there was sufficient for the morning, I asked Charli for a certain item for breakfast & she catered for my needs.||||This is a great place to have a short break, very near the beach & high street with plenty of coffee shops, places to eat & pubs as well as some lovely independent shops selling everything from clothing to an iron monger’s, you can also catch the bus into Chichester just around the corner from Vincent Lodge.||||We love staying here when we visit our friends as it is good value for money & we always get a very warm welcome from Charli. ||||Only down side was we had to come home ☹
