Used the lodges as a short term let while my house was being renovated.
Very quiet, and in a good location for us.
Only 2 washing machines and 1 dryer (the other is out of service) between 6 lodges, so doing my laundry was difficult at times, not to mention having to have change (I would visit the bowling alley to change up notes in the machine).
Internet is almost not fit for purpose. Couldn't load netflix on the telly, and had to hotspot from my phone to do work. Ended up traveling to the office everyday (not an issue for holidayers!)

For a base while holidaying, perfect. But as a temporary living situation it can be a little inconvenient - overall a good experience!

6 lovely lodgee around the edge of a grass circle on the edge of a forest. The lodge was booked 24 hours before arrival and we had a friendly welcome from site manager. The lodge was very clean inside and had just about everything you need for a short stay. It felt quite private and you can really relax .|It was pleasantly warm inside as the weather was nice during our 3 night stay. We would have liked rugs by the beds for a cozy feel but beds were fairly comfortable (wouldn't have wanted to use them for a longer stay).|The door hinges were creaky (not ideal at night as disturbs everyone if going to bathroom at night or getting up earlier than others). The kitchen had lots of dishes, plates, cooking pots etc., but we found the oven trays to be rusty and as we had no foil we were unable to use them. We also had to wash all the crockery and glasses as they had an unpleasant odour to them. On the outside, the lodges looked tired and definitely needed freshening up; patio needed sweeping and windows were dirty and had cobwebs. The pool building looked unkempt and did not look appealing and neither did the pool inside so we decided not to swim. The grounds and general outside areas desperately needed tidying up - it did not look as though they had made an effort to get the area looking good ready for the summer season, which was a shame as the setting could look so spectacular. We did inform the hosts of our thoughts when they asked for feedback but they said they had no money to spend due to covid situation! We wouldn't return but the lodges are adequate for a few nights stay

We book 2 lodges which were amazing. |I read the reviews on here and yes the place is a little tired but this has no effect on the place I or on your holiday.|The lodges inside were lovely and have everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and bedrooms have lots of storage. Showers were lovely with good pressure. We had 2 kids 13 and 11 and enjoyed the heated pool which was really warm. They loved the games room with the table tennis, pool table and 2 foosball tables. This place is also greatly situated to visit lots of places.|We also had our elderly parents who were in their 80’s and the place worked really well for them as no stairs and had their own space. |We also walked through the woods behind the lodges to the kings head pub which has amazing food and service. Mark the manger was lovely and was really helpful. There is a cap on electricity but it is more than enough and actually makes you think about how much you use which I think is a great thing to do.|Overall this place works well for all ages and has great facilities. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed in a cabin for 3 weeks as we were working in the area. Within a lovely wooded area only 6 cabins. Lovely and spacious 2 good sized bedrooms adequate kitchen and plenty of light. There is a great swimming pool, a good spacious laundry room which was spotless there is also spare showers that can be used. The games room was a great touch.|We did not know we had to bring our own towels Mark kindly loaned us some untill we could buy some. The 2 sofas in the lounge really need to be changed as they are sagged beyond repair and very uncomfortable and maybe a coat hook to hang coats as we had nowhere to put damp coats except wardrobe apart from this we had a very plesant stay and would highly recommend

Ideal place near to lots of places to go. Games room and pool were ideal for an 8 year old. The lodge was clean and comfortable. Only downside was the settee was very low. Probably alright for younger fitter people.

Brilliant half term break of 3 families with kids. So much for the children to do they loved the pool and games room. Beautiful location and setting in the woods. Lodges had everything we needed. Mark was a great host and so helpful. We had a lovely walk through the woods to the local pub. Felt like we were miles away so peaceful. Kids and adults have had a great time !!

We stayed for 2 weeks and we enjoyed the park very much. There was a warm welcome, it was quiet and relaxing, the lodge was very clean and complete. It is a good place to start all kind of trips since it is near the M20 and Ashford (with an excellent train connection to London). All in all we had a great time.

So disappointed. We booked three lodges for three families, and looked forward to this holiday for weeks.||||But when we arrived, we were told only two lodges were available, and that there was no record of our friend's booking for the third - even though she had paid the Β£208 deposit, and had an email from the manager saying this was received and the booking was confirmed. She had also emailed a few days previously about arrival times and received a reply saying everything was fine. ||||Clearly a mistake had been made at their end, but the manager was very unapologetic and unsympathetic. She did at least agree to let us bring camp beds, so 8 of us could squeeze into the 4 bed lodge with half of us sleeping on the floor. ||||To add insult to injury, our friends were told they will not be getting their deposit back - the Β£208 they paid for a lodge they never got to stay in. ||||It didn't help that the site is clearly in need of refurbishment. The games room smells strongly and unpleasantly of damp. There is no garden furniture outside the lodges, as advertised in all the pictures. There is some stagnant water in the woods just behind the site, and there is a smell of sewage that gets stronger in the evenings. On our last day the septic tank was cleaned out, which we weren't warned about, and the smell in the lodge at the back was absolutely awful.||||I will say the lodges were very clean and mostly well equipped. There were a few exceptions - old, worn bedding and bath mats, a DVD player in one lodge but not the other, and the wifi only worked in one lodge. ||||The pool was a highlight - decent size, clean, nice and warm. Clearly it is being looked after, and it's a shame the same can't be said of the rest of the site. ||||We were able to make the best of it because of the pool and because frankly, we didn't have a choice - it was half-term, there was no alternative accommodation available, and we didn't want to disappoint the kids. But it's such a shame that we had such a negative experience, as this could be a really lovely place with a bit of care, investment, and better customer service.
