I booked a holiday for myself and my husband with Travel Republic for the first time. On selecting our holiday, we paid the deposit required to secure the booking. However, 20 hours later, we received an email to get in contact with the sales team. We were shocked to hear that due to their "live system," the price had now gone up by £295!

We were under the impression that the price quoted at the time of booking would be the final price given they operate with a "live system."

I spent over 2.5 hours on the phone trying to resolve this issue, which was incredibly frustrating and stressful.
I had important plans to visit a sick relative at the hospital, but instead, I was stuck dealing with this avoidable problem.

The lack of clarity and poor customer service was completely unacceptable. I was in a queue on the phone for over 1 hour in total.

This experience has left me so dissatisfied that I will never book with Travel Republic again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. I am left apprehensive about my upcoming holiday. I’m extremely disappointed by how this was handled.

Be cautious when booking with them—there are far better companies out there with more reliable service and transparent pricing.

I recently booked a holiday through Travel Republic, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The communication was appalling – they failed to inform me of critical changes to my booking, leaving me scrambling to sort things out on my own. When I tried to contact their customer service team, I was met with long wait times, unhelpful staff, and no real resolution to my issues.

Overall, it felt like Travel Republic took my money and completely washed their hands of any responsibility. I will never use them again and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for an stress-free holiday experience. Avoid at all costs!

Booking our summer holiday with travel republic was the worst mistake I've made. The customer service is appalling. Our flight was cancelled on the day of our holiday, however, we made alternative travel plans to get there. Fast forward 6 months later, after making numerous calls to them trying to get a refund for our outward journey, I am still waiting. Every customer agent says they need to look into it further and promises to call back and no one gets back you. Looking forward to my 2025 holiday and I will stay very clear of this company.

Travel Republic provided an excellent service as usual. Having used them many times i have confidence in the high level service they provide. The associated transfer provider offered good local service and excellent trips. Hotel was excellent with friendly staff, lovely restaurants and a nice beach setting for a relaxed holiday.

on very first day of our holiday the Travel Republic representative in Turkey woke up us at 6 am to ask for a meeting regarding the excursions (to take more money from us). Secondly, he promised a lunch and dinner, and swimming in Cleopatra pools. The pools were closed, no dinner at all. I would never agreed to spend 14 hours in the bus if I knew the pools were closed. Later, the 50euro worth souvenir disappeared from our hotel room. The cleaning lady admitted she took it by mistake. However nor the 5*hotel nor Travel Republic took any responsibility nor provided any support

The holiday was great as we made it great but the 5 star resort was not 5 star and lacked in many areas of what was described. Beware of Travel Republics customer service which is shocking and especially if you are trying to book a private transfer which is ridiculously overpriced and poor service.

I was travel with my wife and our baby boy who was 6 months old to turkey.

What made and destroyed the holiday even worse was coming back to the UK when we had booked a private transfer with Travel Republic and their supplier Koral Travel. However, nobody showed up to pick me and my family and my distressed baby to take us to the airport. I had to individually find my own transport back which was horrific at 4am in the morning. So not only did I pay £400 for the transfer I also had to pay another £80 for a private taxi.

I complained to travel republic and showed all the evidence as I tried to contact Koral Travel. The response I got back was shocking. (Please see attached response).

I replied back saying….” That is totally not correct because we were at the hotel lobby waiting and if they arrived at 4pm why did they not go to the concierge to contact us and why did no one contact us before hand to arrange a time.

I am disgusted by your response to this and shocked at your acceptance of their explanation. This is totally unacceptable!

What made it even more disrespectful and not following their own policies is each customer advisor determines the outcome of your complaint as my sister in laws family came and had the same response but when they complained the got a refund which was disgusting to hear. I have contacted travel republic again to explain and was told someone will be in touch but no one got back to me which is disgusting service.

I have been abroad many many times and all over the world and have used Travel republic around 4/5 times and never complained even though there have been issues.

BEWARE booking with travel republic and my opinion don’t do it to yourself. Normally I do not agree with customer is always right but my situation I was totally right and god forbid something worse was to happen god knows how I would have been treated.

Especially travelling with a baby the distress it caused my wife and baby was upsetting.

I wasn't sure at the begining so did a bit of research and bravely give it a try for a first time.
After that l managed to booked a same hotel before we returned back England for 7 room nights in total.

The price of the hotel were a lot cheaper than any other online agents.

I'm really happy that we got a massive bargain so definitely going to book with them again for a long stay holiday.
Also l forgot to mention that we slightly got problem with our flights from the Airline (seperate booking)
and l was surprised that helping tool so easy to access and real human customer service got back to me promptly within 24 hr.
