We had a great week's stay at this luxury beachfront home, a really priceless location being right on the beach, a very well presented home with all the amenities provided as advertised, efficient and prompt communication from the agent Sonia as well as from the owner for anything we required, thankfully we didn't have to bother either of them much during our stay as everything at the house was great. Will definitely highly recommend this holiday home and have already booked for another week stay in 2023!!!

Unfortunately the house did not live up to expectations. We stayed at 186 Coast Rd, Pevensey. It definitely has the wow factor in the lounge and bedrooms but the rest of the property is old and needs replacing. This let us down considering we paid nearly £2400 for one week in August. We spoke to Sonia about this who confirmed it was a new property on her books and the owner ran out of time to refurb all the house. Unfortunately this was not reflected in the price charged! Very old bathrooms with black mould in the corners, shabby flooring in places, back doors hard to unlock, garden very neglected with old rusty detached gates ready to be binned, garden furniture cobwebby and dirty (no cushions supplied for these), side fence propped up. I could carry on. Not quite the luxurious treat we were expecting. Further to this, the gardener decided to enter the property without consent using the security door code whilst my teenage son was there alone! Huge security issue. Apologises were given but absolutely not good enough. We don’t expect people to walk into our home and we expect exactly the same whilst renting a holiday property. Overall very disappointing and I cannot recommend.

To be fair, I was not aware of this coastaways before, however, I'm happy to shout well above the normal to make sure everyone knows of them. I don't often leave reviews, but on this occasion it's an exception. Beyond the call of duty, above and beyond and whatever other synonyms one can use. That's how I feel. Sonia and team were a Breath of Fresh air. Thank you for making our stay relaxing and stress free.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience with this host.
If you want to let a property with a host who lies, falsely advertises, blocks you for complaining and refused to refund you for nights you could not stay at a property due to it being unsafe then this is the holiday host for you!

The pictures and description on the listing did not given a true representation of the property. When we arrived at the property the "Hot tub" (glorified paddling pool) wasn’t on, which takes 24hrs+ to heat up and the "private" garden was completely overlooked by flats. The heating was off on arrival and there were no clear instructions on how to turn this on. When contacting the host SONIA, she wasn't too sure herself. The Wifi was also off when we arrived and there were no instructions on where to locate this.The Pool table is impossible to use because the room is too small so the cue hits the wall - complete false advertising of a “games room”. Advertised as “luxurious & spacious” but it feels like a house built into a gap in the pavement.The garden is advertised as private yet completely overlooked from every direction. All we could hear were people in the pub. A window in the bedroom didn't close properly and you could hear traffic and feel the breeze all night.The beds were uncomfortable & springy and would give anyone a bad back. The main front door doesn’t lock leaving us feeling unsafe. There’s no lock on bathroom and you I had to squeeze my size 8 around the door to use the toilet. When I informed Sonia of these issues she did not reply to me and then blocked me and has refused to process a refund, even though we informed her within 24 hours and vacated the property for her to fix them.

We have used Coastaways three times now and have had wonderful stays every time. Sonia the host is so helpful and keeps us up to date with everything prior to our holiday and each time our experience has been expertly managed. We never use anyone else.

Recently spent the weekend in Pevensey Bay, was really nervous after reading previous review. But it was great! Can't believe how easy it was to get to the beach, and property was very family friendly, we all enjoyed our weekend and would definitely recommend and come again
