Brilliant family paddleboard lesson with my 7 year old grandson last week. Perfect conditions, calm water and the sun was shining. James and Simon the instructors were first class, making it fun for all ages and they were very aware of everyone's capabilities. Cannot wait to have another go later this week with my best friend who has been inspired. Would 100% recommend taking the plunge (quite literally in my case) and give it a go.

It's great to see this local asset continue under their new ownership. I popped in to support them for the re-opening weekend and they were lovely people who are really enthusiastic and passionate about making this a local community asset to be proud of. The shop was spotlessly clean and well presented, with a cosy feel to enjoy the hot drinks and sweets! There are adventures to book, and clothing or accessories to purchase. Pop in and support them if you can.

I’ve taken great trips with CBK before and this one did not fail!! I’ve seen dolphins and seals around st Mary’s lighthouse to this weekend when we paddled under the iconic bridges of Newcastle! Our guide Glen was brilliant. Despite the change in weather from rain to sun we felt safe on the river! There’s not another experience like it paddling under the bridges past the sage, millennium bridge and the Tyne bridge! I loved the sound of the kittiwakes, which we got close to with their chicks. CBK is well organised and the staff are fab! Thanks guys!

Had a wonderful Finnish sauna on the beach … very recommended . Only issue as a group of 4 we didn’t expect 2 strangers to join us and neither did they . This maybe needs to be clearer when booking .

The the team here are absolutely fantastic and we enjoyed the two hours we had had for paddle boarding and kayaking.

Really easy to navigate the website and book. Friendly staff who can advise regarding the coastline.

Excellent, no fuss, safe and clear instruction, all equipment provided for an enjoyable experience. If it's an intro to paddleboarding at a reasonable price your after, CBK is the place to go. Plenty of time on the water and even a jump off the pier to finish. Thanks CBK for a great, memorable addition to our holiday. We'll see you again!

If you need paddleboard or kayak hire, this is your place. Ideal being next to cullercoats bay. They also do guided tours which you can find details on their website.

We did a kayak on the Tyne also with a guide called Katie, who was amazing. Such a good experience.

All the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

They have a variety of items in shop to purchase as well as online.

Went here with friends and our kids(ages 12-5yrs)
Staff were very helpful and friendly and very good helping kids with there wetsuits

Good safety briefing before heading out and very good knowledge of the seas and weather

Younger kids were a bit nervous at first but soon started loving it, older kids were straight in and away with there parent

Perfect weather for it, sea was a bit ruff at first(wave height)but got hang of it

We were advised not to go past the piers, which was fine

Equipment hire was spot on

Loved it and will be back
