Incredible experience at the Edinburgh Underground Vault Tour with Steph today. As a local, this experience was long overdue and did not disappoint. Steph was absolutely wonderful and kept us engaged on a very cold Saturday afternoon. We can’t wait to book other tours. 5 stars!

Superb experience in the vaults. This was one of our main draws to Edinburgh. On arrival we was given a headset which was great quality and we could hear clearly. Although it was risking the guide took us in various alleys to shelter from the rain which she explained about the town. We then headed down to the vaults and was down there for best part of 40/45 mins. At the end we was left in the Discovery room and told we could spend as much time as we wanted in that room so didn’t feel pressured to leave. Our guide was Nicola who was brilliant and explained so much. We chatted to her at the end and she was very happy to answer all our questions. Extremely knowledgeable!

The tour wasn’t overcrowded there was about 10 of us which felt comfortable for all the rooms we went into.

My first guided tour of any historical place. The guide was very knowledgeable and does his job very well. The vaults were exactly how i expected. I would have liked to walk further into the vaults. I'm sure there is one that caters for that. I asked the guide some questions and he answered with ease. I recommend mercat tours to anyone who wants an interesting tour.

The tour was very interesting, we learned a lot of things about the city that are not usual, in a very nice Halloween atmosphere. Our guide Marie was excellent and funny, very talented for storytelling and setting the mood. We really liked the vaults in their authentic aspect.

I did the Underground Ghost Tour - and it was awesome! Headsets make for a great listening experience, especially as we walked. Get ready for spooky storytelling and fun facts about Edinburgh! The entire process from ordering the tour, to the meet up spot, during the tour, and after was easeful, clear, and everyone was incredibly friendly! I highly recommend!

Amazing experience all round. Firstly Rory was so helpful with our booking and sending us all the information we needed for the night. Sarah was our guide and she was a great story teller and historian, she kept us interested throughout the whole tour, and really made it a great experience. Although we didn’t see any ghosts we did hear heavy booted footsteps walking around nearby while we were in the White Room, could it have been the malevolent spirit known as Mr Boots? Who knows. The atmosphere down in the Underground Vaults was intense to say the least and quite oppressive, which not surprising given the history, I got a real sense of the many spirits still trapped there in this location. Highly recommend these tours while visiting Edinburgh.

Fantastic tour of the underground vaults. Our tour guide Veni was very knowledgeable and friendly. They gave us headphones so that we could hear our guide clearly. Plenty of opportunities for photos- just watch out for Mr Boots!
