If you are in Scotland, this is a MUST. This tour takes you to see gorgeous sights all over the Scottish Highlands and even a chance to spot Nessie with an optional boat tour (do it, it’s totally worth it). We saw some of the most amazing sights that probably would have been impossible without this totally comprehensive and amazingly planned tour. But the best part was our tour guide Paul S (yes the S is important!) So knowledgeable about everything from Scottish history to photography and even food and drink recs. He even had a thoughtfully curated playlist of Scottish songs with stories behind each one. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and he is eager to share if you lend your ear. If you have the chance, definitely book this tour and make sure to get on Paul’s (S) bus! Thank you for the amazing tour Paul (S) from Melanie and Katherine!

Our trip to the Scottish Highland was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to amazing guide Colin. he was incredibly knowledgeable, keeping us engaged with fascinating history, good jokes, and fantastic selection of Scottish songs. Even though we spent many hours in the bus, we hardly noticed because we were completely mesmerised by the idyllic scenery – winding through the Scottish mountains, shimmering lakes, and snow capped peaks felt like something out of a dream. The photo stops were perfect, and we loved every little detail. All in all, this was the perfect experience, and we couldn’t recommend it more! Scotland is pure beauty! ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lucky was one of the most accommodating, charismatic, hardworking men I have ever met. He made our tour of Scotland so enjoyable. It’s always nerve wracking going to a new country and experiencing it for the first time, however he made all of us feel right at home from day 1. If you happen to be on one of the smaller group tours, be sure to sit on the single seats to the left of the bus for uninterrupted views and a little more comfort. You won’t miss anything on the right but you will have to look over others to see.
We could not recommend The Hairy Coo enough! And if you’re ‘lucky’ enough to have a tour guide like ours, you’re in for plenty of insight into the history of Scotland, brilliant driving skills, food recommendations and last but not least, laughter.

Thank you Lucky!

What a great tour! We did the 1 day Highland tour to Loch Ness and had a blast. David H was a lovely and informative guide. He kept the day light and interesting while teaching us some Scottish history and throwing in some personal anecdotes along the way. The Fall colors were beautiful and I highly recommend the optional boat cruise of the Loch to look for Nessie while sipping some whisky. Will be booking Hairy Coos again!

We saw a lot of beautiful Scotland and learned a lot from our guide, Dave. He was a safe driver, great storyteller and nice man! The day to the Isle of Skye is long (but worth it if you only have a few days, as we did) and it’s a good idea to check each morning re food stops, as they (understandably) need to change each day for the itinerary but, overall, a special experience with some unforgettable memories for me and my son. Thanks, Dave!

We took the Stirling Castle, Kelpies, Loch Lomond day tour. It was fun and interesting. Nice break from the city, great to see the Scottish countryside, along with some important sites. Our guide, David H, was informative, personable and helpful. He gave a very nice overview of Scottish history as we drove to each of the sites and pointed out key aspects of each site as we arrived. David also managed our time well, making sure we got to Stirling Castle in time for a free tour with one of the Historical Foundation folks (well worth doing). The boat ride on Loch Lomond was very nice, even on a cold and cloudy day. One little thing to keep in mind is that in the winter it gets dark early, so by the time we were leaving the castle it was dark out. Highly recommend this tour!

Fraser is probably one of the best tour guides I had ever. He’s super passionate in his work, kept telling stories and history about Scotland in the whole highland trip. And I love his sense of humor too! I would recommend him 100% to anyone who’s considering this trip.

Our tour with The Hairy Coo was nothing short of wonderful. The breathtaking scenery unfolded like a majestic painting—wild, raw, and poetic. Our guide, Michael, was exceptional, weaving fascinating historical insights with humor and Scottish charm that kept us entertained throughout the journey.

The experience felt both enriching and relaxing, perfectly paced to let us soak in Scotland’s natural beauty. Moreover, the price was reasonable for the quality of the tour. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore Scotland’s stunning landscapes with a touch of history and personality!
