Despite a very late notification that a courtesy car was needed, we received a phone call at 5.45(they close at 6) and offered us one car with an option of a better one tomorrow, which unfortunately was not an option due to the necessity of getting to work. We accepted the offered car and it was delivered to our home address in under 1/2 an hour. Cannot fault this level of service, absolutely superb.

Had a lovely gentleman named Luke deliver my vehicle today . He was very courteous and professional he was very knowledgeable on the terms and conditions of hiring and thoroughly explained the mechanics of the car as it was a lot bigger than whst I usually drive

Genuinely impressed with the service at this place. I walked in and needed a hire car on the day. They gave me the last automatic they had which was a brand new Mercedes GLE. The price was much cheaper than a regular automatic online, but more importantly I left a belonging in the car after returning it, and they kept it secure for me until I was able to collect it. Really impressed and I'd definitely hire from this place again !

The worst rental company, do not use!!!!!

I had courtesy car from europcar through Fords. Worst experience ever.

They have charged me £80 for a fine I didn't get. I crossed a toll bridge which I payed for and they are charging £80 for two emails and won't waive it.
I told them I've paid for the bridge and Mersey gateway said there was no fine!!! But they don't care, just want money off you.
They have put me into debt / financial difficulty and they don't care sending snotty emails.

Why ford uses these I do not know.

No help whatsoever.

£80 for two emails when the bridge costs £2. That's 40 times as much as the bridge toll.

Mersey gateway said there is no fine but europcar insists they want £80, what sort of company does this when everyone is in financial difficulty at these hard times.

Stay clear of this company

And as for sending me a link to tell me the same thing over and over again that it doesn't matter and you still want £80 instead of resolving it doesn't make any difference.

I've had multiple contacts with your administration's team and they didn't want to help whatsoever. Just administration's fees apply, that's it.

I'm sorry but this is really bad for a company of your size.

Pick up was fine, except for the car already having a dash warning for tyre pressure, but due to an engine light coming on, on the Saturday, I had to cancel my plans on Sunday and return the car early. No apology or part refund was even offered.

The overall experience was good.
The car we hired was spotless both inside and out, and the perfect size for our needs.
However.
Maybe I missed it, but the £100. Deposit should be clearly specified when booking the car.
The cars manual should be made easily available in the car, we had a problem with one of the functions of the car that we had difficulty solving.
Leaving the car on its return in a random spot felt very unsafe without a representative available.

The car was amazing, staff pleasant and friendly and the rental was much cheaper than other competitors but when i tried to extend my hire for an extra day they could not take my payment over the phone or online which means I had to make a 90 mile round trip just to pay the additional £20.30 at the banch I collected the car from which is a bit ridiculous

Pick up at Chester, UK and drop off at Heathrow Airport was quick and easy. I really liked that the pickup agent came to the car and explained all the controls. Car was easy to drive, good fuel economy and held our three large pieces of luggage.
