Booked a jet ski for 2 for my partners birthday, absolutely incredible! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the staff were awesome, very professional, and chatty like old friends. The changing facilities were impeccable, very clean and private and the showers are surprisingly nice! All in all, a very welcoming place! Highly recommend!

I spent 10 days training on two of Brighton Boating's larger sailing yachts (11.5 metres), living on board in the marina at night. The boats are in good condition, well equipped, and with living facilities much like a caravan. The marina facilities are excellent too and available to the student. The more important part, of course, was the quality of the training I received. I'm an instructor myself (I teach flying) and I'm pretty quick to get grumpy when experts are poor teachers, which sadly seems is all-too-common. From that expectation I was very delighted to find that the three instructors (Beth, Alan, and Mish, thank you team!) that I was assigned to during the progression of my courses were all very capable teachers in addition to being highly accomplished sailors. They were friendly, encouraging, reasonably demanding but not bullies (if one is paying to learn, an instructor who lets you get away with slacking off is not actually delivering you good value), accommodating, and ready with good explanations. Equally importantly, they listened to students' questions, and were willing to take a practical in a different direction based on those questions.

In terms of the sailing, I and the other students learned all manner of things about managing a sailing vessel in tidal waters, and crew management. In the process of completing the RYA "Competent Crew" and "Day Skipper" certifications, we planned and executed trips to other marinas, including and overnight stay, anchored off the coast, did some cooking at sea, learned about sail trim, basic maintenance, boat handling, docking and maneuvering, safety and how to be a skipper. We did some night sailing too--it's challenging to find an unlit marker buoy inn the dark by compass navigation alone when on a boat that's bouncing on waves and the compass won't sit still. However, it could be a life-saving skill if the GPS gets jammed by the Russians, or simply goes out due to an electrical problem (I've had that happen several times while flying, so don't discount the possibility). A particularly fun, although simply lucky, part was when a pod of dolphin swam alongside us and played with us for more than an hour.

The supporting team in the office were fantastically helpful too. I had to take airline travel to get to the course, and had a frankly unreasonable number of questions to ask to ensure I brought all the things, but only the things, that would be needed. Seb, Aneira, and Amanda were infinitely patient, even when I'm pretty sure I asked several questions twice over the several months of my planning for this. All the other folks on the team were immediately ready to help any time I had a question while I was there too.

Did competent crew over two weekends from Brighton Marina. Highly recommend. Both instructors Beth and Jude were incredible, both very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend using Brighton Boating for RYA training. Our first weekend was cancelled due to bad weather (very bad weather). Brighton Boating created another part 1 weekend for us to do the course in good time (which they didnt need to do as the weather wasnt their fault). Good people!

We took a RIB ride out from Brighton Boat Tours 20/05/23 and had a great afternoon. Piers our tour guide made it exciting and there was plenty of time for photos on the water. We were given protective clothing, waterproof & windproof before we set off and we had a great time. Thanks to all the team, looking forward to booking another trip to see the wind farm in the summer.

We had such a great few hours out on the water. We decided quite last minute but Pheobe was really helpful in sorting everything out for us. All the kit was in fantastic condition, and the boat handled beautifully - which given the 20knot winds made us feel much more confident that we would otherwise! Tom, the chief instructor came out with us and struck exactly the right balance between giving us help and pointers, and letting us just enjoy the water on our own. Overall, an excellent experience!

Just finished my first ever jet ski ride. Got assistance from Adam. He was absolutely lovely,very helpful. He is good for the business. I fell in the water but he was very helpful when getting me back on the jet ski. I truly appreciated that. Will definitely come back. Good place with good people ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've done jet skis twice here and have absolutely loved the experience both times. The team are really friendly and helpful, the changing facilities are excellent, the safety briefing is thorough, and (most importantly!) the time on the jet skis was simply brilliant. High quality skis and a huge amount of fun. Would highly recommend and will likely come back for another go soon!
