A brilliant first time cruise for me. On Anthem of the Seas - Spain 🇪🇸 and Portugal 🇵🇹

Best bits. Entertainment - The Boulevards, Marc the piano man, We will rock you. Great teens club with surfing, climbing, roller skating and disco. Outstanding food in the American Icon and Windjammer. Lovely staff, Benedict, Jay and Mahesh. Impeccable hygiene and cleaning. Brilliant captain Tony and his crew.

Down side - Pool got very busy and therefore tricky to find a seat/lounger. The tipping culture. I’d suggest opting out and only paying those you witness good service from (sorry restaurant manager, you were a little too …friendly)

Overall. Great. Will do it again. Maybe a different ship for a different experience.

So thank you RC. A great and memorable holiday. Will recommend

Just finished a cruise in the Baltic, visiting Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn Estonia and Helsinki, unfortunately at Petersburg was cancelled but this is obviously nothing to do with RC. We hit an extra day in Stockholm due to the change of plan. The service on board is absolutely second to none, it was one of the best and most relaxing experience of my life. Food is impeccable and they really looked after us. We needed covid tests for certain countries due to vaccines being a year old and no booster but it was one charge for one test and that covered multiple shore trips in multiple countries. I highly recommend using RC and we have already booked 2 more cruises with them given the sheer quality of our first experience.

Highly not recommended, we took cruise 🚢 from Southampton to spain and Portugal October 2024 was supposed to stay in 4 ports but they got cancelled one after each other, food is not delicious they cook unwanted yesterday foods again and again, they charge hidden tips but can be removed by guests service, no refund policy even they cancelled 2 ports , they only charged back small fees

Be very wary:
When you disembark ( so you can’t do anything in person) they add holding fees to the cards that you have registered for the on board account, or used to purchase items in the on board shops. This holding fee could show for 5-7 even up to 30 days.
Electronically your money is in their account earning interest, boosting sales figures falsely and earning some staff bonuses.
They don’t care if their double dip of your account makes you overdrawn, costs you fees or causes undue stress.
It’s a very immoral and dishonest business tactic. Shame on you RC and associated companies that hide under your umbrella.

I made a booking over the phone with Royal Caribbean directly. When we got the details of the booking through, there was no mention of the food and drinks packages I'd agreed to. Six (6) weeks, 4 calls, 8 emails and still no response, I finally got to speak to someone who said there was no mention of the packages in our booking phone call. I asked to listen to the recording and they refused. Essentially, they sell you a package over the phone, quote you a cost, then excludes items and you have no recourse. Unbelievably, the manager I eventually spoke to asked if I wanted to add the drinks and food packages in to the booking at double the price they originally were! I said I would cancel the booking and he said there is a queue of people on a waiting list so it didn't matter.
So, I am cancelling a £15,000 cruise on the back of an appalling customer service experience - looking at the other reviews it doesn't look like the care less.
This is by far and away, the worst of the worse of companies and I beg any reader to avoid at all cost.

YOU ARE SAILING WITH DRUNKS

Royal Caribbean and its management remind me of mobsters. Took a cruise out of Southampton. Most guests I met were disappointed about Royal Caribbean. The quality of the food was the worst and cold. Management didn't care about anything. Guests who made suggestions were disappointed about management's response. Management didn't care because RC tends to pack everyone on a large ship. Based on volume, RC makes decent profits. Customers keep coming. Loyalty isn't RC's goal. If it were loyalty, management would act intelligently.

Go on Oceania Cruiseline. Management appreciates its customers. It's a classy environment.

RC's profits are largely based on alcoholic drink packages. Basically, one is cruising with drunks who start drinking in the morning until bedtime. The cost is so outrageous per day (over $100) that people's goal is to beat that price by ordering double the amount of drinks to feel they aren't ripped off by RC.
You will be saling with unclassy drunks who will make your life miserable. It's not a safe family environment. I wish I would had read these comments before.

Customer services is extremely poor. Over two hours to get through on the phone to be cut off. Paid for on board service and they double charged me. Another 1 1/2 hrs to get through and was advised a refund would be given. Over a week later, no refund! Sent numerous emails with no response. Now I have been cut off again after waiting for an hour to get though, Angry is an understatement!. Appalling service! Don't bother booking with this company!!!!!!
