Very impressive hike with great views and unique mountain flowers. From Sambata, continue on a dirt road for about 5km then there's a parking spot. You then have to walk for about 1 hour until you reach the cabin which was food and drinks (we had a coffee). The out and back lenght is 15km but we went a bit higher (on Vf Slanina). Our hiking time was 5hours but it took us 7 with breaks and lunch so plan ahead.

Great hike, it took me about 4 hours from the village down in the valley. It was well worth it!

Pretty hard to reach. About 600 m altitude difference from Simbata mountain hut and another 1000 m from Complex Simbata.
There is water and a mountain shelter in the next mountain passes, on the East, Fereastra Mica a Simbetei.
2-4 hours far from Moldoveanu and the starting point for the immensity of the Eastern Faragaras

Amazing views! Worth hiking just to see the beautiful and unspoiled sceneries. If your hiking from Cabana Sambata, the path splits in two, one that goes to Moldoveanu's Peak and the other one to Şaua Urlea.

you can go by foot from Cabana Valea Sâmbetei... 4-5-6 hours back and forth... but the view and the trespassings are just beautiful

also can go by car from Făgăraș City to Sâmbăta de Sus and from there, by foot, to Cabana Valea Sâmbetei
