I just finished my Competent Crew course with Activity Yachting, and am about to start the Skipper course with them as well.

Jim and Gary are absolute legends, those uncles you wish you had, and this vibe sets an amazing tone that the rest of their crew resonates in. They are at once incredibly warm and professional, courteous and fun, authentic, and very dedicated to the craft they teach.

And what to say of the setting in Croatia - every bay we went to was more breathtaking than the last. They know the area extremely well and transmit enthusiasm while showing it to you. Every stop went without glitch, and you could tell much thought, expertise and love is put behind their daily planning.

I'm so glad I found them to guide me through my first steps in the art of sailing.

First flotilla holiday we have done, despite having sailed and raced for years. Activity Yachtings organisation and communication was exceptional. Jim is extremely thoughtful and thorough. Jim organised everything for us including our charter from another charter company. Would definitely sail with Jim again.

Just had a fantastic week with Jim, Gary and the team at Activity Yachting. Went on the extremely positive recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. Whilst we didn’t use the Activity Yachting Fleet - as they were fully booked - Jim helped us source a very nice and cost effective bareboat with a charter company based in their base marina.

We had a lovely week, and when we encountered issues - our prop fouled on a rogue line in a marina - Jim was the one that got us free!

Many thanks to all the team and we look forward to cruising in company with them again in the future.

Just completed a 1 week bareboat skipper course, with Mark as instructor. Jim found us a great boat for a last minute booking, and kindly helped out with scheduling a stop in Sibenik for our required covid test so were able to board our return flight home. A very relaxing time on the flotilla, cruising around the islands of Croatia with the family, and training at the same time. Highly recommended.

Definitely one of the best sailing companies in Croatia! Thanks to Jim and his crew for the unforgettable holiday. We attended the learn to sail holiday and after a week of training (and a lot of fun) we obtained the bareboat skipper qualification. For sure we will book or next flotilla holiday with Jim (Activity Yachting).

We went on a Learn To Sail holiday to improve our sailing skills and get our skipper certificate. Due to the current COVID-19 circumstances, we were able to get a spot a few weeks in advance and Jim helped us out answering all our questions. We were on the boat with four others (2 befriended couples of same age- end twenties) and had a great week! Jim himself was our sailing instructor and the Flotilla was led by Jim and Mark with some other boats joining our two learn to sail boats as well.

We learned a lot during the week, but all in a relaxed way - really having a holiday feeling. It is perfect to just “be sailing” while also enjoying the sun, the view and the occasional beer at the end of the day.

We would very much recommend this as a holiday- so nice to do as a couple or with friends!

I have been sailing with Activity Yachting for over 10 years. Started with a couple of courses which is a great combo of learning and holiday. Then progressed to flotilla holidays. There are so many islands and each year there is something new. It is great holiday sailing. I can absolutely recommend it.

I have just completed a 6 day bareboat skipper course with Jim, Gary, Oli and Mark... What an amazing experience. These guys, and the rest of the team, really go out of their way to ensure you learn whilst having an absolutely great time, full of opportunities for adventure, socialising and fun! There where also families within our flotilla and everyone was able to integrate and find their chill-zone thanks to this teams animated moderation and personal touch. I highly recommend this company for sailing holidays, practical courses and boat charter...!
