Breathtaking views ! Perfect for a little family adventure. It was a great hike and was one of the best parts of our stay. I would definitely recommend visiting here to explore it’s beauty. There is a ice cream van so you can reward yourself after a long hike (we walked around 2.5 hours) - it was great! It would be great to take some food bits to have a picnic and enjoy lunch whilst looking over the cliffs :).

Excellent way of getting up the east hill , the ride is fast and smooth. Very impressive considering how old the lift is. The views are amazing going up and down . £4 round trip is good , well worth the money. Staff are lovely and very friendly 😊

The train like east lift is the steepest lift in the UK provides access to the Hastings Country Park, can take 14 people at a time. It takes less then 2 minutes to reach the top of the hill. We enjoyed the Hasting beach and part of the Hasting castle during this short journey. The price for this return journey may be costly [£4 per adult] but the family option is reasonable and you can also get senior citizen and child discount. This was a memorable short journey for us and we liked it very much.

Hastings East hill lift upper station. It is a nice place to experience, an old lift , a breath taking view while you are going up to the top. You can see the view of the beach, adventure park, and even the pier. When you reach the top, there’s a nature park, you can explore the place, walk around , I see some people are jugging and walking there dogs. Benches are available to rest, but it’s nice to sit on grass instead. Not much people though, social distancing was observed. Kids will enjoy seeing some rabbits. Between 1.00pm to 1.30pm the staff that operates the lift will have there lunch break so the lift is closed. So plan your trip before you take the lift. Don’t forget there’s a west hill as well don’t forget to check it out!

What spectacular views!
You can only buy a return ticket but there is an option to walk up or down.

When you get to the top there’s a lovely nature reserve and an ice cream van on the top- only takes cash though.

Absolutely must visit for any rail or lift enthusiast, as you'll get both in this one attraction. Wonderful piece of local history, great example of local council looking after society's wellbeing. For over 100 years helping people to get to the top of the steep hill to enjoy time in local park and admire wonderful seaside scenery. For those feeling fit already or looking to improve their fitness level, there are stairs, of course. But for a few quid only, you will get a return ticket for a quick and comfortable ride in this historic railway.

This is the best place to enjoy the sunset at Hastings. Pick a evening that was raining earlier in the afternoon, and you will see one of the most beautiful sunset scenes in UK.
