The Hastings branch seems to be uniquely manned by staff who are utterly incompetent and genuinely do not care about customers. I rented a car for a one way journey from Hampshire to Hastings in early December with no issues, however when I booked (and paid upfront) for the car to return to Hampshire I was contact first by "trainee" Thomas who said that they used a third party to verify my address and despite giving them the address that my bank account and driving licence are registered to (as I had done in Hampshire) that it could not be verified and so they were going cancel the booking. I requested contact for days which never happened. Finally called and spoke to "manager" Michael who likewise said he was helpless to this third party who had incorrect information all of a sudden and that I should cancel the booking (which would incur a £40 fee) rather than him doing it officially "as it would be quicker". After having to ask three times and wait a day for a response as to what those timeliness would be he admitted he didn't have any idea, however either way it wouldn't be returned immediately. I requested he process it correctly. I requested again the next day for him to confirm he'd done this, and two days later I'm still having to chase him.

Utter incompetence, lazy and poorly trained staff. Sadly living up to the reputation of Hastings. I requested several times how the office in Hampshire didn't have these same problems and nobody was capable enough to give me answer. It's very unfortunate that for this area Enterprise is the only car hire company that will do one way hires because their staff in Hastings let the company and its customers down on every count at every turn.

Days after the booking should have started I've no car and no money back and have to go through extra hassle due to their failures of chasing and chasing them to DO THEIR JOBS!!!

Ordered a car via the app for collection the next day. 8:30am (on the day of pick-up) I received a call from Bexhill/Hastings branch just to confirm the collection & that all will be ready for me. I arrived at the branch & was greeted by a friendly team. Turn-around in the branch was around 10mins from checking in to inspecting the car. It was clearly explained to me about the scratches, dents etc. Car provided (MG) as per spec, very clean inside & out. Off on our travels. Next day, I received another call from the team Charlie, courtesy call, I explained I could be a little late due to possible traffic on M25, Charlie was understanding & we agreed to keep everyone updated. Arrived back at the branch (not late!), was greeted by Charlie & Tom. Final checks were made to the car, all good. The whole team here are great, Thank you all

Do not trust this company. Don't give them your card details. I was scammed with the claim I had made a small crack in the casing of a wing mirror. They gaslighted me on the forecourt when I said the small crack must have been on the vehicle when I picked it up. They made further unexplained deductions on my card as I travelled home. They refused to give me information on a complaints procedure, and then didn't address my numerous complaints when a complaint was raised. Buyers beware. Look elsewhere. (Why do I have to give them a star?)

Pickup was on time and everything ready on arrival. There was some confusion over the drop off time as I was picked up early, but this was sorted out quickly.
Car provided was as per spec, very clean and full of fuel.
Drop off was quick and easy.

When I first arrived at the office, The staff told me that due to damaged vehicles being returned and one vehicle not being returned when it was scheduled to be, they were having trouble finding the vehicle I had requested.
I think it is easy to get positive feedback when everything is going well, But When things aren’t going well, that’s when you find out how professional people really are !!
The staff managed to provide me with the perfectly adequate vehicle and swap it the next day for a different vehicle which allowed me to complete my task all the while been putting under pressure by other customers experiencing the same issues
Performance under pressure when it was out of their control was what impressed me the most

What an absolute joke! We rented a van on 21 June 2024 for that weekend. We had some large items that had to bee moved or we would be charged. Having placed the order in the morning and receiving confirmation, we received a call the evening to say there was no van available in the class we had ordered. Apparently, this was a website glitch and dozens of people were in the same boat!
In the end we had to accept a smaller van, which itself was not available until 1-2pm from memory. We were offered and accepted a refund of £70 as compensation. Yet as of today I am still waiting for my money back. I have made multiple calls, never get my calls returned or updated on what is going on. I have been told it's a head office issue but apparently there's no direct telephone number for wither myself or the branch to call. I'm just supposed to wait on the good graces of an organisation that has already proved themselves incapable and disorganised.
Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else, it's not worth the time and hassle!!!!!

Had a Vauxhall Mokka (auto) all electric car for a couple of days. Katie was excellent at making me feel at ease. The car was amazing and the whole experience was really good. Will definitely go back if I need a car again, as some car hire seem to have issues having auto cars available.
